Random Perk Ideas
Hello class. A bit of a different post this time. It’s a list of perk ideas I’ve had sitting around for a while now, revised and updated for your viewing pleasure. I know ideas like these don’t get considered to be implemented into the game, but it’s fun to do, and it’s a great exercise in designing themed perks. First, killer perks, then survivor perks.
Perks from Bethany Ingrid, “The Crow”
Tampered Machine
You have an engineering prowess that allows you to make devious modifications to machinery. Generators regress 50% faster, and any survivors that interact with a regressing generator are faced Accelerated Skill Checks for 25/30/35 seconds. Accelerated Skill Checks have faster pointers and do not grant bonus progression via Great Skill Checks.

Misanthropy
Your heart holds contempt for those that would stand in your way. When a survivor blinds or stuns you with a Pallet or Locker, this perk activates. You gain 3/4/5% Haste until you injure a survivor, or until you are blinded or stunned again, after which this perk deactivates.

Malpractice
Being around the sick and injured grants you hypersensitivity to blood. The auras of survivors are revealed to you for 4/5/6 seconds when a survivor heals themselves or is healed by another survivor for one health state.

Prisoner's Dilemma
Subjects who are tested sometimes turn on each other and abandon all rational thought. When a survivor unhooks another survivor, both survivors suffer from the Oblivious status effect when within 8/10/12 meters of each other for 30 seconds. Survivors also suffer from the Oblivious status effect when performing a cooperative action.

Scourge Hook: Time Bomb
Your tests impose immense pressure on subjects as the clock ticks down. At the start of the Trial, 4 random Hooks are changed into Scourge Hooks. The Auras of Scourge Hooks are revealed to you in white. Each time a Survivor is hooked on a Scourge Hook, the following effects apply:
All Generators with progress will explode after a delay of 5/4/3 seconds and begin regressing. Generators affected by Time Bomb immediately lose 10% of their progress.

Hex: Atonement
A Hex that ensures your subjects pay for their transgressions though torment. You become obsessed with one survivor. Hitting the Obsession with either your Basic Attack or Special Attack inflicts the Blindness, Hemorrhage, Hindered, Mangled and Oblivious status effect. When a survivor heals the Obsession one health state, they become the new Obsession and inherit all these status effects (if more than one survivor was healing the Obsession, one is chosen at random). You can only be obsessed with one survivor at a time. The Hex effects persist as long as the related Hex Totem is standing.

Perks from Neith Gamal, “The Mirage”
Cutthroat
You have no tolerance for treachery, and severely punish those that defy you. Each time you are blinded, or stunned by a Pallet or Locker, gain a token, up to a maximum of 2/3/4 tokens. For each token, any survivor that is unhooked suffers from the Broken status effect for 15 seconds.

Appalling Visage
You despise the appearance of your face and lash out at those who gaze upon it. Survivors outside your terror radius cannot see your aura by any means. Whenever your aura is revealed to a survivor, gain 3/4/5% Haste.

Scourge Hook: Omnipresence
Your influence spreads far and wide, and all will fear your power. At the start of the Trial, 4 random Hooks are changed into Scourge Hooks. The Auras of Scourge Hooks are revealed to you in white. Each time a Survivor is hooked on a Scourge Hook, the following effects apply:
Your terror radius is increased to 64/96/128m. Survivors receive Skill Checks with much faster pointers. These effects persist until the survivor is unhooked from a Scourge Hook.

Perks from Edith/Frederick Wilson, “The Spy”
Voyeur
The target of your espionage intrigues you beyond your mission, and your knowledge of them becomes intimate. You become obsessed with one survivor. When the Obsession loses a health state, their aura is revealed to you for 3/4/5 seconds. When the Obsession enters the dying state, the aura of the generator they most recently interacted with is revealed to you in yellow for 5 seconds.

Split Mind
Having the experiences of two people within opens up your mind to incredible possibilities. When breaking a pallet or generator, or snuffing a boon totem, the location of the survivor(s) that interacted with the pallet, generator or totem is revealed to you for 5 seconds. This perk has a cooldown of 50/40/30 seconds.

Bloody Sabotage
You are willing to go to great lengths to ensure your target does not survive. After hooking survivors 4/3/2 times, Bloody Sabotage activates. Performing a Basic Attack on a dropped pallet breaks the pallet and deactivates this perk.

Perks from Margaret Luna, the Astronomer
Look to the Stars
Keep your eyes peeled and perceive the way to your destiny. Each time a generator is completed, all survivor and Exit Gate auras are revealed to you for 6/8/10 seconds. Once all generators are powered, Exit Gate auras are revealed to all survivors permanently.

Distressed Sonata
You have an incredibly keen perception for those in dire need, and know when to call for help. The Obsession's aura is revealed to you when they are injured. Healing the Obsession for one Health state activates Distressed Sonata. Pressing the Active Ability button while motionless reveals the aura of all survivors within 64/96/128 meters for 10 seconds, after which Distressed Sonata deactivates. If you become the Obsession, your aura is revealed to all survivors when you are injured. Decreases your chances of being the Obsession. The Killer can only be obsessed with one survivor at a time.

Blessed Timepiece
When you set your mind to a task, nothing stands in your way. Succeeding a Great Skill Check grants you a stack-able 5% bonus to Healing, Sabotage, Unhooking, Cleansing, Exit Gate Opening, and Chest Searching speeds, up to a maximum of 15/20/25%. If you are put into the Dying State, you lose 10% of this bonus.

Perks from Sun-Hi Yeon, the Surgeon
Duplicity
Though you are manipulative, it is a means to a more noble end. Working on a Generator for a total of 20 seconds while another Survivor is hooked grants a token, up to a maximum of 2/3/4 tokens. For each token, increase healing and unhooking speeds by 10% and reduce grunts of pain by 20%

Sinister Connections
Your connections with the dark and destructive will further your pursuit of greatness. As the Killer's Obsession, whenever the Killer hooks another survivor, the Killer's aura is revealed to you for 4/5/6 seconds. While in a chase with the Killer, you see the auras of any generators being repaired within 16m of you. Increases the odds of being the Obsession. The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.

Surgical Precision
Your expertise in surgery will be recognized by those in dire need. When healing a Survivor without a Medkit, Surgical Precision activates. You will be faced with a Difficult Skill Check upon reaching 50% healing progression. Succeeding the Skill Check instantly heals the Survivor one health state and grants both you and the Survivor the Haste status effect, moving at an increased speed of 7% for 4/5/6 seconds, after which the perk deactivates. Failing the Difficult Skill Check resets all healing progress and deactivates the perk. While Surgical Precision is activated, normal Healing Skill Checks do not occur.

Perks from Salah Nahdi, the Teacher
Observant
As an instructor, you are keen on paying attention to important details. When interacting with a Generator, Chest or Totem for at least 2 seconds, its aura is revealed to you when you are within a range of 48m. This effect can occur for up to 1/2/3 objects. If you are holding a Map that can track objectives, objects revealed by Observant are added to the Map.

Keep it Together
The dread of losing those around you motivates you to be stronger. For each alive survivor other than yourself, gain a stack-able 8/9/10% increased Dying State Recovery speed. For each killed or sacrificed survivor, gain 33% increased Healing speed. Dying State Recovery speeds do not stack with other perks.

Guiding Light
Getting closer to freedom instills a hidden potential within you. Each time a Generator is completed, gain a stack-able 3/3.5/4% bonus to Healing, Sabotage, Unhooking, Cleansing and Chest unlocking speeds. When the last Generator is powered, your aura is revealed to all survivors.

Perks from Iris Edenson, the Pharmacist
Palpitation
Your heart reacts violently to incoming danger, prompting your survival instincts to kick into high alert. Upon hearing the terror radius, Palpitation activates and grants 2% Haste. Once in a chase, the Killer’s aura is revealed to you for 3 seconds and you gain 7% Haste for 5/6/7 seconds, after which the perk deactivates.

Donor
Even as you bleed, you think of others before yourself. Healing an injured survivor grants them the Endurance status effect which lingers 3/4/5 seconds after the healing action is stopped, but inflicts the Hemorrhage status effect on yourself. When a survivor heals you, they gain immunity to the Hemorrhage status effect.

Boon: Antidote
Studying medicine has taught you how to cure poisons of all types. Press and hold the Active Ability button near a Dull or Hex Totem to bless it and create a Boon Totem. Soft chimes ring out within a radius of 24 m. Survivors inside the Boon Totem's range benefit from the following effects:
Gain immunity to the Blindness, Mangled, and Hemorrhage status effect.
This effect lingers for 2/3/4 seconds after leaving the Boon Totem's range.
You can only bless one Totem at a time. All equipped Boon Perks are active on the same Boon Totem.

Going to give feedback on each as how I know the game:
Tampered Machine
Cool and fun idea. I think 35 s is a bit long though. Assuming the skill checks are like merciless.
Misanthropy
That's big to give but kind of cool, can shake up how the game is played. Maybe it needs to be a hex? I am not sure.
Malpractice
This is busted, but can work as a hex if you nerf the duration to like 3 s.

This is pain res on crack, might need to tone it down a lot.

Rather weak only affecting the Obsession.

This blocks healing under hook I guess. I don't think I would bother to run it.
Appalling Visage
That's cool.
Scourge Hook: Omnipresence
That's really cool.
Voyeur
Again, lacking in effectiveness.
Split Mind
That's kind of cool. For people that want to tunnel the boon user haha. I don't think I'd ever use it. There are just better tracking perks.
Bloody Sabotage
Cool idea but I don't think it's useful.
Now, the survivor perks.
Look to the Stars
Eh, rather run bond. Maybe a niche people could like.
Distressed Sonata
Kind of hard to get value out of something so minor.
Blessed Timepiece
This is a fun perk, I like this concept.
Duplicity
Strange time to reward a survivor for working on gens but sure.
Sinister Connections
Again, bond is just better for this.
Surgical Precision
This is really cool and I love this idea, maybe drop the skill check at 40%.
Observant
I guess, sure. Not really into maps in the game.
Keep it Together
This is cool and works.
Guiding Light
I guess you could synergize this with the other buff speeds, that could be fun. Alone it's meh.
Palpitation
This is kind of busted. It should probably grant exhaustion and then it'd be perfect.
Donor
Yeah that is cool, I like it.
Boon: Antidote
Yeah, we need one of these.
