Hook timer needs to be increased…
Holy soloq hell…. The amount of comp teching, face camping today…. Wow. I knew with all the improvements certain Players would not change how they play but boy do they benefit significantly from longer gen times plus 4 slowdowns.
it may not help much but can we get the hook timer to significantly increase?

Creating an arms race between gen times and hook times isn't the solution. If they make any change, it will be reducing gen times, most likely.

There's no "arms race" between longer gen times and longer hook times. With longer gen times survivors still need more time to do gens, it doesn't matter if some survivor is hanging on a hook or not.
In fact if someone is hooked and doesn't get saved for longer it actually makes it harder for survivors to finish gens. As a survivor you still spend the same amount of time for unhooking and healing someone, it doesn't matter if you do it immediately after hooking or near the end of the current hook stage. But if you unhook as soon as possible, that unhooked survivor can start doing gens sooner than if he was still hanging on the hook.

Huh? It's about making killers feel they can't, or shouldn't, camp. They raised gen times because survivors were doing too well, they admitted this much. If survivors start doing too poorly and/or they deem camping is getting too crazy, they're NOT going to make people wait on hooks longer. It doesn't make sense.

The other thing is that survivors already complain about how being camped on a hook for 2 minutes is too boring and many survivors in solo q already let themselves die on hook if being camped.
Increasing the hook timer won't do much as many survivors will opt to let themselves die instead of staying on a hook for a longer period of time.

They need to give all hooks the pyramid head treatment and just make the hook move if the killer is patrolling near it too long. Every single game I played today the killer camped the first hook until death. And against some killers there is counterplay to that but if you are soloQ vs a killer with a one shot or huntress it's just not happening.
