A couple of thoughts about the update

Greetings inhabitants of the fog.

I hope with the new update of the game few asses burned down, but there are both positive and negative in this update. I myself have played more than 3000 hours, both for the killers and for the survivors. I would like to share my thoughts and would love to hear yours.

Before the release of the new patch, survivors could beat, blow up and abuse the killer, flick a flashlight and squat on the gate, writing "gg ez" at the end. I think everyone had it. However, this is now more difficult to do. Meta skills have been reworked, although the main problem was E (dead hard).

I think that it was not worth making an animation of the desire to take a ######### out of it. It would be enough just to remove invulnerability.

Having 5 genes against the plague or a legion under thanatophobia is almost impossible. I played on the plague and on the legion with thanatophobia, for 10 games I didn’t get more than 4 genes. I think that the thanatophobia buff is superfluous, as well as 10 seconds of extra time to wind up. I have already read a lot of surviving stories that are very boring to repair generators, and here in part it is. Here it is necessary to look for a balance, which now (let's be objective) outweighs the side of the killers. Not much, but outweighs. 3 seconds of the decisive blow are not noticeable from the word at all, as noted by the Otzdarva 4 seconds would be enough. Endurance after being unhooked is cool, but I don't think it should be like this, tunneling is the same part of the strategy as camping, but it burns your ass, but whose fault is it that such a killer caught you? BT was an integral part of the altruists and protected from camping and tunneling (ds as well). Everything else is interesting and innovative.

I really liked the decision to replace TL walls with save pallet gyms and constructs, it correlates well with the killer buffs, which makes the orientation skill in the chase more valuable.

The soloq has been completely killed due to the inability to repair the generators, it is a mystery to me how selection works now, then mmr, then rank, but it all works somehow wrong. The game has competitive aspects and to satisfy them, adequate conditions are required in the form of a balanced selection of killers and survivors. SWF is a common practice in the game and not everyone can win against the party. I think that the balance will be reached when the killer, on average, kills 2 out of 4 survivors. However, how to balance it and whether it is worth it at all is a question that has been haunting for years.

Personally, it seems to me that many did not like these changes, but what do you think, how many new killers will become and how many survivors will leave the game?

Dear BHVR, I would like to ask you to create an update survey. I think based on the answers we can make DBD better together.

All the best and clear skies over your head 💫
