So Much Early Patch Judgement

Clearly, many people have been quite vocal in sharing their searing opinions (and opinions are fine when not stated as fact) on the patch, but consider:

The patch just dropped, and has been mentioned a lot of people are adjusting and/or don't even fully realize what even changed. Many people are trying to push through with their old builds/strats, most are just getting their bearings.

It's going to be weeks or months before any meaningful conclusions can be drawn about the changes, certainly not after 36 hours. It's chaos out there right now.

And before people jump in about how the PTB has been going on for longer:

  1. What was in the PTB isn't what went live
  2. Only a small subset of the player base actually participated in it

And then you have the expectancy bias, where a lot of people are seeing what they told themselves they would, or to support a case they had already made in their head, not necessarily what is actually going on. Many people are being shoved out of their long established comfort zones and they have feelings about that, most of them a bit irrational.

Lots of assumptions on how these changes would affect gameplay, and plenty of hot takes, but there hasn't been nearly enough actual gameplay to derive anything meaningful, and there won't be for a while.

Again, I am not at all against people sharing opinions, I just think we should wait for things to regress to the mean a bit before passing judgement.
