MMR is confusing

Is MMR bug or something? I play a few games as killer an I get survivors who know how to play (this isn't a complaint) however the moment I que up as survivor I get team mates who hide in corners, don't even do gens or worse suicide on hook after they get cocky, misplay or whatever reason. It's aggravating playing killer vs decent to good survivors but when I play survivor myself I don't get any of those type of teams. I know my MMR isn't low I'm very decent at survivor above average at best but it seems like I'm getting que with brand new players or selfish entitled players who just dc or don't even do anything and I don't understand why an making the game annoying then it already was.
