What is one thing you miss from old DBD
For me, it was actually one of the bugs, so I did join in 2019 so I'm not a veteran, but when I first started, there was a bug where you'd get stuck outside the exit gate and the walls so there really was no escape. Thought it was funny as I'm just running around like a chicken with it's head cut off cuz in this case, death had to be the escape.

old instant heals
It was complete bullshit but it was hilarious automatically picking up someone to healthy with a syringe right as they got down Infront of the escape gate

I've pissed off way to many killers using For the People and doing this 😭 sure we were both injured but I took away the killer's deserved kill

My old goblin son.

One?
JUST one?
Old Freddy it is.

You can name multiple, I know you feel strongly on this, you get a free pass

Just about everything from Feb 2017 onward.

Oh, thank you! You are a kind soul. Entity's blessing upon thee!
Aham...
-Old Freddy
-Old Billy
-Old Doctor
-Old Bubba
-Old Maps
-Old Fog
-Moonlight offerings
-Splinters
-Old Ruin
-Old BBQ (Can't believe we've got to a point where it is possible to write this)
-Old Self-Care (when it was meta)
-Old Lobbies
-Old Events
-Old animations
-Old character models
-Old add-ons
You know what?
The whole damn thing, except Old Legion, Old MoM and...Old Dead Hard? I guess we can say that now.

Old Freddy
Old instaheal
Old sabotage (the three minute version where you could 99 hooks)

Old Freddy
Old Billy
Old Bbq
Old Deathslinger
Old lobbies
Old survivor animations
Old maps especially Macmillan
Old survivor models
Dbd content in general on YouTube and Twitch

Color filters on maps

Old Freddy for sure.
2 -
Only two things I miss are Old Freddy and the creepy atmosphere of the maps
0 -
Moonlight offerings and the old "realm filters", in particular blue tint MacMillan.
1 -
99-ing hooks.
The way I had every hook on the map ready to drop at will.... killers HATED me XD

How old is old? Nurse being disabled...

While Quentin's face has been altered, the hands remain.

They look massive, specially on the blue shirt.

Old Legion

I liked the darker maps, and the survivor stationary animation (not a fan now of every survivor standing like an anime hero).

There are a lot of old things I miss.
-NOED that lasted forever, gave 9% move speed and was not a totem.
-Using Shadowborn on Wraith and the Brightest moonlight offering to make the game look like "daylight" without filters
-Pallets had a delay between dropping and stunning. They were a "skillshot" and had a much smaller hitbox for the stun. This meant that "pallet looping didn't exist" because it was super easy to swing through a pallet and trade a hit for a stun.
-Old Billy after flick nerf before any of the micro nerfs that followed.
-Hook timers before 15 seconds got added to two phases.
-Killer being game host so when you attacked someone vaulting you always hit them
-Old Dying Light that made gens 25% slower for killing the obsession (which you could do on their first down with a mori).
-Fog that blocked sight beyond ~20m
-Myers before he got nerfed where he could stalk multiple survivors at once to gain his power at a faster rate. I also miss that he used to get his power at a constant rate without distance as a consideration.
-Being able to see people's ranks in the lobby
-Playing DBD before SWF was implemented
-Do you remember that one week where thanatophobia lived up to its name and triggered from dead survivors as well as injured ones?
-Billy had like 10 different "exploits" where you could do crazy things. You could glitch through the suffocation pit infinite window to make the loop stop being an infinite. You could use your saw to "jump" on top of combines to shut down the loop instantly. Maps used to be designed where you could saw sprint around the map to do 4-5 loops on most of the maps without ever stopping.
-Almost all the old maps were designed better than what we have now.
2 -
I cant think of a single map (old variation) that was designed better than what we have now
Unless youre talking about aesthetics

While the new and reworked maps look far better in terms of graphics and quality, I miss the aesthetics of old MacMillan/Coldwind maps. I loved how each realm had its own, unique identity.
Also: ranks! I know the old matchmaking/rank system had its faults, but looking back I feel I had more solid games with people who were more at my skill level. This current MMR feels chaotic and completely random.
I know this isn't 'old DBD' persay, but I miss the BBQ and WGLF bp's. I still don't understand why they did that.

"I know this isn't 'old DBD' persay, but I miss the BBQ and WGLF bp's."
I think it is valid to include them. They are both 2017 perks after all.

Almost every single bug, exploit, and OP crap that was in this game and has since been fixed. 2016-2018 was great.

Old Hillbilly.
They did him so, SO dirty...
1 -
Doctor's original model
Nothing against the new one, I just like the old design better. The new version looks cartoonishly angry as opposed to the expression of the original
Plus Docs voice doesn't fit the new model IMO. Whenever I hear the laugh, I see the original model

My legacy skins!🤐

Old pink nea's hair, he had movement, now he is just a pink helmet

Old Rotten field was better than the current version. It's way too big now. There are others but that is the first one that comes to mind.
1 -
I miss the old corn, before the map wasn't covered by an oversaturated dehydrated-urine-yellow filter.
I also miss old Spirit, old Billy, old Deathslinger, old BBQ.
I don't miss old Ormond or old Haddonfield though. Or old Bubba, it still blows my mind how BHVR left him bugged for years and didn't bother fixing him until both of the chainsaw bois got reworked.

THE FOG

Old Billy, Old Freddy and old maps
1 -
I miss old Freddy. I wish they could have gotten that original ability concept down to a playable level. What it changed to is still fun, but the Perma invisibility and inflicting sleep was an entertaining concept
2 -
Old injured animation
3 -
I agree with a few things you listed, but why on earth would you miss old Bubba?
His chainsaw was worthless to use unless you ran PWYF, but nowadays his chainsaw is fun to learn, rewards putting practice into it and is actually more dangerous in chases.
Only thing Bubba could do before was facecamp at 99% charge without worrying about tantruming, which nobody should really be sad is gone either.
2 -
I miss the old hatch and keys.
I miss Ranks. My matches seemed a lot more balanced under the rank system, and I'd get a mix of sweaty games, but also casual and goofy ones.

But old Rotten Fields was bigger than now...?

I miss how how the maps used to look. After the map reworks they just dont feel the same. Macmillians blue hue is burned to my head and i miss it so much.
1 -
old looks of maps they were more suted for "horror" game in my opinion

This.

Old ruin and sky billy hands down
1 -
The easiest way to explain is this:
If there is old, GeneralV is sold.
There might be one or two exceptions to that rule.
And Bubba is not one of them.
0 -
So... you don't actually have a reason then?
I said I agreed with most of your list, and genuinely wanted to know what I possibly missed in all my hours playing Bubba. He was one of my main killers is all.
0 -
Oh, without a doubt Old Freddy.
1 -
Everything that is old, that was here when I started playing and fell in love with the game is of great interest to me.
I don't know any secret tricks with Bubba or anything.
I just miss what is old and precious to me.

Old ebony moris.
The threat of immediate elimination made playing survivor really thrilling.

New Haddonfield is mechanically better but I miss the "blueness" of old Haddonfield.
