Please Remove The DC Penalty For Now.
The giant surge of hackers as of late is ######### painful. I've had so many games now with hackers on both Killer and Survivor.
Please remove the DC penalty again until you have this under some control. Maybe finally switch from your peer-to-peer hacked onto dedicated servers model to actual dedicated servers.

That would be expensive.
At best you can expect some easy cheat update, however that will never fix the problem.
Everything should be server sided, but devs dont like to do that, because servers cost way more that way, also the net requirement would be higher.
The main reason to not do anything, because average dbd player dont care about cheaters, they will play anyway, there is no reason to do anything

I had an interesting subtle hacker in one of my last games. It was a Wraith who had burned a RPD offering himself and was destroying palettes at an alarming rate, yet in the post game screen had neither Brutal Strength, nor the corresponding wraith add-ons that let you destroy palettes out of cloak faster.
Most interesting was the other thing, though. Because I got a hook sabotage hooks tome challenge I was using the Sabotage perk and this made me see the Scourge Hooks... which were all of them! Every singel hook om the map was a scourge hook and I took multiple Screenshots from multiple angles and hooking event.
This could have been a visual bug, but I haven't encountered this bug again, and the whole situation seemed strange from start to finish, so I guess that was a subtle one.

Literally only cheaters use EGS, any legit player can just use Steam.

You must be extremely high MMR then because I have yet to face a hacker. Maybe subtle hacking but nohing I could pin point.
I played all last weekend and some right after patch hit and some yesterday... besides the suicides and DCs nothing out of the ordinary.

With the all the whiny cowards in this game the DC penalty should start at 30 minutes.
