So, the new Prestige system makes it 50/50 for me.

Just before I say anything, I have a main account with everything thanks to ex Prestige 1 before 6.1.0 patch became a thing in reality.

i've decided to start a new account with nothing behind it just to see how the system works.

-----

I am not sure how to feel for new survivors. Before update you could get any survivor to level 40 and forget about his existance and try to farm from bloodwebs all the perks you need.

The new update forces you to have 2 000 000 bloodpoints only to get to a new Prestige level. That's a huge increase, especially when we are talking about some actions that give you bloodpoints. And that's 3 times to make a special perk level 3 on everyone. It surely does help you in a long run because you don't rely on whether you get that perk from future bloodwebs or not, but it forces you to grind a lot.

-----

Overall I am somewhat fine the Prestiging doesn't remove your items/addons/already earned perks, that's a good one. But as we add new survivors and killers, it will still become problematic for new players to farm all of it.

I am fine they made the 10 000 bloodpoints per category but even before patch was alive you couldn't normally get all 8 000 points, which makes 10 000 a bit worthless.

-----

The developers should add some new tools to help with Bloodpoints gaining. I know they have disabled the role bonuses until a major fix comes online, but let's be honest - it's specific and it works only some period of time.

The daily login bonus could be a fix like on days 1-5 you get increasing bloodpoints per day, while days 6-7 give you some shards, or additional bloodpoints' bonus per first match of the day per role just like daily 300 experience bonus.

Some daily quests should be rebalanced if we are talking about rewards. I am pretty sure when you have a quest to "shock some survivors as Doctor", it's a very simple quest to do, while some quests like "hit survivors when they activate you trap as Hag", or "catch some survivors into your traps" are a bit more of a challenge, but they give you the same amount of points as if they are equally easy to do.

-----

Some actions in match should give you a bit higher points since they've increated the category cap. We already see the 7 000 points per escape and I hope some other actions get rebalanced this way.

OVERALL - the new Prestige system is less grindy for sure but it creates more grind as the game adds new characters and in the long run it is still going to be a grind fest. The game needs rebalance around rewards it gives for different actions/quests and maybe some additional systems to help.

The grind actually decreases with each new character.

Instead of having to spend ~50K after unlocking a teachable to then reach that perk on another characters bloodweb, it's unlocked automatically on all characters.

At the moment with 31 survivors, the 400k it costs to get from level 40 to 50, actually saves you about 4.5 million BP in that you don't need to then grind that out 30 other characters.

Add another survivor and the saving automatically rises to 4.65 million, etc.

Every new character that is released, will automatically learn every other perk instantly.

I get that before it was best practice to just level to 40 then dump survivors, but that was a symptom of the previous system, and it meant that those 40 levels worth of items, add ons and offerings were wasted. You now don't need to settle for one 'main', and survivors can level in a similar way to killers.
