Survivor main's feedback on new Dead Hard
i took my time after the release of the patch and i used dead hard almost every game since its change and...
i think it is perfect! now it is a rewarding - skill based perk. NOW i feel rewarded in using it. this "nerf" is the right nerf every perk should get when facing one. a nerf that will not destroy completely a perk making it useless but changing it in a right way that will still be useful (not as before, but still) and fun to use. The new Dead Hard is healthy for the game in my opinion and a good example of how perks should be nerfed (instead of only changing stats of a perk and adding useless downsides. i'm looking at you, iron will's nerf)
the only 2 problems i see are the animation of new DH (but it will be fixed so it is fine!) and the fact that if you do 360 with your character sometimes the game will think that you are standing still and will not allow you to use dead hard.
GG BHVR!

Agreed. Its still an amazing perk in good hands. Its only dead to those unwilling to learn it. The animation jank is a bit odd though. It just looks weird and out of place. I hope a new animation is put in place for it eventually.

From the killer side, if a survivor uses the new DH at the right moment, I am actually impressed and internally salut them for a DH well played, instead or dying a little bit inside, like in the olden days.
Oh well, and there are still this survivors that run directly at you and you know that they are just trying to bait you into hitting them. The thing is: you only need to suppress your urge for about 0.7s, then you can go ham :D

Yeah, I think the "nerf" to Dead Hard actually made it better. I like that it's not basically a free health state anymore and it feels rewarding to actually use now. My only gripe with it is that the animation looks a little wonky and it feels a little slow. Other than that, it's perfect.

I hope that if the animation is changed, there is still animation frames at the end of the dead hard where the survivor can't do anything except move forward. It's supposed to be a high risk high reward perk, and the high risk part doesn't happen very much if the survivor is allowed to 360, drop a pallet, or vault 0.00 seconds after the endurance frames end. And hopefully if a survivor does vault immediately after a dead hard, it doesn't count as a fast vault.

What you mentioned is the mildest bait attempt currently. eventually even those survivors will learn how to use the new Dead Hard better and understand how and when to use it.

0.5 seconds is very tight timing, it's like a parry of a light attack on For Honor. I had my problems in the beginning and it was very frustrating but practice makes perfect and once you learn it you never forget it. don't give up and keep trying!

I'm only upset that it doesn't play Bayonetta music and have a big Witch Time graphic. Also, the game needs to scream SMOKIN' SEXY STYLE at you. Basically just throw all kinds of character action stuff at you for it. It'd be great.
Edit: That and the animation needs to be fixed to properly represent the active timing, but they are working on that.

They should have it work during deep wound. It's a skill based ability, not some free hit like OTR or BT.
