It's hardly the end of the world. At least now you don't get a noise notification for it. They should look into call of brine and overcharge if anything.

The bug (unless it was patched) where it still keeps going even after you tapped the gen/did the skill check

Merciless storm and pain resonance. If you got to 90% and pain resonance reduced it the skillchecks wouldn’t stop it would just keep going

Merciless storm shouldn’t keep going it should only activate at 90% and when it regresses you still get the skill checks and then it’s blocked for 20 seconds.

Its working as how it says it should be working.
It activates at 90%? Check
It keeps going until you let go/fail a skill check or the gen is completed? Check
The PR regression happens without interrupting survivors? Check
So there is literally no reason why it shouldnt work. You can say this is unforseen and devs decided to change it, which is completely fair. But you have to stretch it really wide and uncomfartably to the point we probably need to go to ER afterwards to call it a bug.

It didn't work like that before. If you got a gen to 90% and you failed some of the skill checks, etc, when you went back to it you didn't get the MS skill checks anymore.

That's entirely different situation.
In PR's case, you never missed a skill check and never let the gen go.

They are not saying that it works again after you get back to it, they are saying that with PR you are forced to do it for a long time.
With PR and Merciless Storm, you can potentiallu be stuck doing Merciless Storm skill checks up to 130.5 seconds.
