Mettle of Man nerf was uncalled for
Why was a perk that is a one time use that required a absurd amount of protection hits got even looked at?
This perk would require a throwing the game build to be even good
Now in its current state you might as well remove it from the game

It's better if you are willing to play the big pp playstyle of bodyblocking when your teammates need it the most. I would dare to say that it is a free endgame escape for a hooked survivor now if you get at least one protection hit and go for the unhook. Unless the killer has STBFL of course
I kind of feel it gets kind of outclassed by DH.

I would not call that free. That right there is earned. And also they will probably die for it.

Well, freer than before. I like using MoM a lot and one of the situations were it shined the most was on the endgame when you could get an extra hit after body blocking for the unhooked survivor if you managed to build enough stacks before. That is way easier now.
Overall I like the kind of aggressive bold (if inefficient) gameplay the devs are promoting with it. Too bad people are not going to use it with the amount of better alternatives there are

I don't see it
It's in my eyes a much better perk then it was before. By a mile.
Helps with tunneling and completely destroys stbfl.
Especially with how meme tier it was before i can't see how anyone can call this a nerf.
Every day i am more and more convinced that it's not the devs but the community who are clueless about the game.
Maybe even both

It seems to be about 50% more reliable to me.

Don't mettle with THIS man!

It's funny. First, they nerf Calm Spirit and call it a buff. And now they nerfed Mettle of Man, an already sucky perk xd

Ok there is some unpacking here unless mettle of man can be activated more than once here is what was said
Taking 2 protection hits will now activate Mettle of Man, granting the Endurance status effect. While the Endurance effect is active, your aura will be revealed to the Killer when they are further than 12/14/16m away. Like other Endurance effects, performing a Conspicuous Action will cause it to deactivate prematurely, and it will not protect you from entering the dying state if you already have Deep Wounds.
Meaning once you gain it you can't do anything in the game which makes you a useless teammate that chases the killer chasing a survivor. Giving him to kills instead of 1
When you can apply more pressure by knocking out gens I do not see this perk being any useful especially killers that's good about ignoring body blocking or protection hits

Most m1 killers can't ignore body blocking if it's done right. New MoM is a really good anti tunnel perk.
With the latest update you can't really outrace the killer in objectives if they are efficient anymore. If you aren't actively trying to stop tunneling you are helping the killer.
2 survivors preventing the killer from gaining progress on his objective while 2 sit on gens is better then 3 survivors on gens and one rapidly dying now.
A full slowdown killer who tunnels will completely lock the game down the second one survivor is dead
With the old MoM you had to bodyblock, heal, bodyblock, heal and bodyblock again before you could get any value
Now one bodyblock and a heal is enough to have a double bodyblock available for someone being tunneled. Even in solo this can really prolong the lives of your teammates.
The new one is more consistant in what it does and it does it well. That the end result of the previous version was better doesn't matter if it was never achieved without throwing the game

i don't think its anti-tunnel perk. its an offensive second chance. the perk weaponizes and rewards the other second chances.to be used completely offensive against the killer. the worst part is that the killer can do very little to prevent its activation because protection hits occur in places where the killers are doing their objective(walking to a hook, slugging and near unhook process). Old MoM and current MoM is like worst designed perk for survivor.
with OTR+break out, you can get healed by teammates and bodyblock hooks with OTR+Break out to get mettle of man active after being unhooked. you can use OTR and then use mettle of man after being unhooked If you mend.
With BT, if you have 1 stack of MoM from purposely bodyblocking a hook then healing yourself with a med kit, if a killer tries to leave the hook, you can purposely align your distance between killer such that you get an unhook within 15 meters which is nearly unhooking in the killer's face. the killer get punished for going after the unhooked person through DS+OTR(Tunneling) but he also get punished for not tunneling because if he hits the survivor that just unhooked who is healthy, MoM activates so now MoM becomes an exhaustion perk if the killer continues to chase the survivor.
With DS+OTR+Unbreakable, If the killer doesn't tunnel you and leaves you to get unhooked safely, you can just run at the killer and use your second chances offensively. If the killer slug's you, you can unbreakable and still have MoM active while slugged to bodyblock more and if the killer takes DS and activate chases you, now you get MoM active. free second chance for getting the killer to chase you by weaponizing OTR and DS while having safety net with unbreakable.
Normally its bad idea to use second chance perks offensively because they leave you vulnerable and the killer will often tunnel you for using them offensively. Like purposely bodyblocking with DS+OTR will often make killer tunnel you leaving without any second chances for the chase. Unhooking in the killer face is not smart, neither is bodyblocking hooks when your -1 hook state and your teammate is +0, but with Mettle of man, the perk rewards you for doing all these actions. a perk that rewards the survivor for purposely making bad plays is such silly design and you lose killer momentum for these bad plays that get rewarded into good plays.
The equivalent of this perk is like having a killer regress all generators around the map by 20% if he hits bloodlust 3 and downs a survivor in a chase. The killer is purposely playing chases to hit bloodlust 3 only to get rewarded by regressing generators. terrible designed perk. MoM in a nutshell.
