Rookie Spirit is a massively underrated perk
It suffers from the same problem as Windows of Oppertunity that people only see it as a training wheel perk. But it's honestly really usefull
Being able to stop CoB asap helps a lot
Killer hooks someone and you hear a scream? the generator that just started regressing is where the killer will go
Generator starts regressing out of nowhere? Killer is probably there
If ruin is in the game you can have a very good idea where your team is (yes killers still run ruin for some reason)
I was pleasantly surprised when i tried this perk.
You people know more of these kind of perks that are concidered meh but are very underrated

Another band-aid perk for solo survivors.
SWF = Hey dude, killer started chase me. Go and finish my gen. It was next to main building, near to hill.
Solo = Use the Rookie Spirit.
No, thanks.

Rookie Spirit suffers from a couple of things.
First it's not active at the start of the trail. While hitting 3 skill checks isn't a hard task, sometimes the game just doesn't want to give you 3 skill checks.
Second just because you can see a gen is regressing on the other side of the map, doesn't mean you can actually do something about it.
The perk is okay, like most gen aura perks. It can be useful keeping track of which gens were being worked on and are regressing, but often you just can't do anything about the information. If I'm getting chased, it doesn't matter if I see a gen regressing. If I'm working on a gen on the otherside of the map, there's not much reason for me to go the otherside of the map to stop a gen from regressing when I could just finish the gen I'm currently on.

Its certainly more useful now as killers are kicking gens a lot more.

Empathic Connection is another slept on perk, only it provides your team with the crucial info instead of you.

Well yeah but that's how the game is now.
I wish more Solo players realised that SWF meta and Solo meta are 2 completely different things
Games would go easier if they equiped those band-aid perks sometimes

I haven't played with that one yet, I should try it sometime

Rookie Spirit needs a buff.Give you a speed boost for a few seconds if you stop any regressing gen would be nice

Yeah and don't forget that it also gives you a MASSIVE buff to healing.
Fun aside, there are many underrated Perks for Survivors and hopefully now, with the Meta gutted, those will be used more.
I still use Self Care/Bite the Bullet with Lucky Break and Overcome to just vanish. I use a Med Kit to heal once the Killer loses me cuz I can't be bothered to fully heal with Self Care.

ye but all my solo queue team r dead before a gen even starts to regress so not rlly useful in solo queue

My friend has been obsessed with this build since the update. He runs Built to Last instead of SC.
Fortunately, we don’t see Franklin’s that often, but he’s a great looper even if he can’t make use of the build

I actually love it as well. I like to pair it with alert to see if the killer kicks a gen or a pallet

Compare this perk with killer perks that regress 10,15.20%, reduce speed by 20,30%... It’s a joke. And yes, I know there are 4 survs, but if you think in 16 perks then this speed reduction is not 30%, but 120%

I like the idea of Rookie Spirit, it's just hard to get good value out of it.
It also really doesn't need any sort of activation requirement, since other similar and less conditional perks can reveal generators for you or your teammates without having to be activated first.

That's ... not how it works
30% slowdown is 30% slowdown. You don't magically multiply it by the number of survivors
If it had a speedreduction of 120% you would be regressing gens by working on them...
