Thank you Behaviour
Im playing dbd since 2018 and I think this year will be my favorite.
For the anniversary we got a very interesting new killer. I like playing as and against him. He looks very scary and thats what was missing in dbd sometimes. The new Artist skin follow this direction and Im happy with it.
Then patch 6.1 was released. I really like the perks changes. Seeing same perks every match is over, the game feels more healthy both sides.
Now Resident Evil chapter 2 was announced. Im a fan of RE since my childhood and Ada Wong is my favorite character. Im really excited she will became my new main.
I dont know whats coming next but I cant wait to see.
Dead by Daylight has so many licences its incredible. Im really sad about Stranger Thing lost but I hope we could get Alien someday.

Agreed, DBD is in the best place it's ever been.

Yes the game is not perfect and could be better. But compare to previous years the game feels better.

Oh god, finally some normal people. At first i thought this might be sarcasm, so i prepared for more pain reading a stupid post, but then i realized you actually mean what you say. Thank you for being normal.

Player count disagrees

I think positivity is normalized and nobody make posts when they are happy and we only see negativity side in forums.
I want to share when Im concerned and when Im happy too.
Good feedbacks are positive feedbacks too.

That's not unusual after a event.
Many people come back just for the event and usually stay a while after the event, but then start to drop off.
Which is what you see in the steam chart, it's going sown because the event is over but when a new dlc drops, the numbers will go up again.
You can check every event over the years and you will see a rise and fall in numbers there, as well as when dlc drops

Is this the regular people's club?
Edit: May I come in?

Agreed!
The game's in the best spot it's ever been at this stage. There are still problems, of course, but the game's been improving over the years and a lot of issues have been addressed by now, a fair few quite recently. The recent direction is a very welcome and promising sign!

Not really though if you look at the last year it's been on it's way down and the curve got steeper after the last update. Ratings have also fallen. It's really sad because this was an A Tier game but it's being driven to the ground by bad decisions and unbalancing :/ You can't just make one side "unstoppable" like they said they're doing and not expect the other side to not want to play anymore. Solo queue has never been this miserable.

I don't know about best...

2018 is still my fav year.
I bought the game and Freddy. Because i loved Freddy's movies. He was fun killer, i played with him a lot. :( He was my main killer before they reworked him.

Survivor main ?

In 2019 the game was so unbalanced, the best thing was Stranger Thing release but the rest mehh.

What do you mean? Player count is higher than before the patch.
2 -
Agree and nice to see a thread that isn't completely unhinged.

Unbalanced in a fun way for survivors yess šš

Glad to see there's some positive feedback too :3 I mean DBD still has its issues, but it's already made a significant step forward.

I think there will always be issues in every games, nothing is perfect !
But dbd follow the right direction, it feels like devs are finally listening to us !

How you are feeling about Thana nerf?

It was fine as it was but the nerf is ok, I take it.

Me too but you cant denied that survivors were so OP compare to killers back then.

I'm glad some people are enjoying it. As for me in Solo Q, it's just aggravation at this point. I usually play Solo, but every once in awhile when our schedules allow it, my friend from the next province plays with me (no comms tho). She tried it a few times after this patch and stopped after 5 matches. She doesn't want to play anymore. And we're casual players who never expect to escape a lot. Just sometimes. The problem is with so much unbashed camping and tunneling off the hook at 4-5 gens. I admit it's really irritating that these "strategies" are so thoroughly effective at decimating a Solo Q team, and they were essentially buffed. Regardless of survivor D/C's Killers will always slug for the 4k now. And yes, that's their choice, but it just makes for a miserable match when 4 gens are up and there's no hope. I think that's what change for me in this patch, I never have any hope that I'll actually escape unless it's the hatch. On top of it, I found fun in altruism. And the developers seems to discouraging team work in Solo Q with every change, making it so altruism is detrimental most of the time, so players are becoming way more selfish.
I'm trapped in low MMR hell, and I can't seem to get out because I'm matched with teammates that don't even know the basics of how all the Killers work. Then the Killers are usually, obviously much more skilled than the survivors running 3 top tier gen regression perks and I'm with a Meg with 3 yellow perks. And all it takes to get you to low MMR vortex is a string of facecampers/tunnelers/team mates D/Cing.
At this point it's more enjoyable for me to watch streamers play DBD than actually play it myself. Not the sweatlord kind, the casual ones who have fun.

The game is doing exceptionally well for a video game that came out 6 years ago.

I'm also generally hopeful for the future of the game. The last patch feels like a success (I didn't said it was perfect, I'm not blind)
The announced changes also feel like an improvement.
