The Sorceress: Unique, Original Killer Concept & Perks
The Sorceress
Power: Obelisk of Revenge
Press and hold the secondary power button to summon an Obelisk of Revenge. These are tall structures that can be seen from afar, and a maximum of 8 can be placed at one time.
Press and hold the power button for 1.5 seconds whilst aiming at an Obelisk. Tap to teleport to the Obelisk once fully charged; the total teleport duration always being 2 seconds. Whilst The Sorceress teleports to an Obelisk, it glows and emits an intense audio cue.
When The Sorceress arrives at the Obelisk, Damned Revenge activates for 15 seconds. She is effaced of innocence and becomes wildly dangerous. The Sorceress gains an increased movement speed of 4.8m/s and an increased lunge of 40%. Hitting a survivor during Damned Revenge will send them to the Monument of Damnation, and cause all survivors within a 20 metre radius to scream. The Sorceress cannot teleport to any Obelisks whilst Damned Revenge is active.
Power: Monument of Damnation
Press and hold the secondary power button, followed by the power button, whilst stationary. Doing so for 7 seconds will summon a Monument of Damnation, a large structure which is revealed by an aura from any point on the map. Only one can be present on the map at one time.
A survivor sent to the Monument will be held in by The Sorceress’ raging power. They are completely incapacitated unless they break free, or are broken free by another survivor. Breaking free takes 30 seconds, whilst being broken free takes 10 seconds. A survivor will immediately be broken free if The Sorceress walks within a 15 metre radius of the Monument.
Details: How this power is unique and Valuable
Obelisks of Revenge are non-collisional structures that The Sorceress can place whilst in movement. They offer The Sorceress a custom web of structures that allow her to teleport across the map to activate her unique power.
Her main power; Damned Revenge, requires the skill of being able to teleport closely to survivors using the Obelisks, and then attack them quickly and efficiently afterward. Using the power incorrectly punishes The Sorceress with little slowdown and damage infliction. Using the power correctly however, allows The Sorceress to send survivors anywhere across the map, at which point they will be held hostage unless they break free.
This offers a strong combination of damage and slowdown which can be customised by The Sorceress. For example, The Sorceress can place a Monument away from a 3-gen that she is protecting and then move survivors to that Monument, forcing survivor pressure away from the 3-gen. She would be the only killer in the game that can actively move survivors to any point on the map that she wishes, offering a strategic set-up playstyle that requires skill and efficiency to offer reward.
Perks
Scopophobia
Every time a survivor is hooked, gain a token.
Press the Active Ability button to activate Scopophobia.
Whilst Scopophobia is active, look in the direction of a survivor to instantly consume a token and see the survivor’s aura for 20 seconds.
You are granted the Undetectable status effect for the duration.
Espionage
After carrying a survivor for over 1 second, Espionage activates. Espionage grants the ability the lunge whilst carrying a survivor, which does not count as a basic attack but instead a carry attack.
For every other survivor who loses a health state whilst you carry a survivor, gain a stackable 5% bonus to movement speed for 10/12/14 seconds after hooking the survivor.
Ultimatum
When your foes are on the verge of escaping, tear their hopes apart and give them one last challenge; your final revenge.
When survivors open an exit gate, the opened exit gate is blocked for 60 seconds and the endgame collapse timer begins at 75% of the normal timer speed.
The other exit gate is automatically opened for the duration. After the duration, both gates close and unlocking progress is set to 50/25/0%.
