For those who don't know, Masahiro Ito is the original designer of Pyramid Head and has said he dislikes how that original design has since been used, as it was specifically made for James. This was apparently disregarded for Pyramid Head's lore in DBD where he is stated to appear in Cheryl's dreams despite the two having absolutely no connection whatsoever.

The White Hunter design seen in this tweet was apparently made to resolve this, as it doesn't hold the same connection to James while still maintaining what makes the design so recognizable.

Personally I think with James being in the game now the original design staying is fine, but a White Hunter outfit would be great.

    Honestly he can cope, We would not have Pyramid head in the game if we went for accuracy in his use. Either that or Cheryl would not have been chosen.

    Nobody knows who White Hunter is anyways

    He expecting anyone to Like a design of pyramid head in a niche comic only released in japan that almost knows about is pushing it

    I prefer the design we got to be honest. Pyramid Head has one of the strongest base designs. He will never need a skin on my account, thankfully.

    I'd love to see this as a skin. It'd be cool.

    On a more technical note, your comment that the artist dislikes the original design being used is incorrect.

    He wasn't saying he disliked Pyramid Head's original design being used. English isn't his first language, so some of the nuances are lost on him.

    I would at least like the SH movie version of PH as a cosmetic, that was badass, and less blocky looking.

    Yeah, I agree this would be great as a skin but other than that… James is in the game now and the Entity just got hold of this very version we have gotten and not the White Hunter.

    (People shouldn’t look too deeply into the lore and trying to make it logical both for DbD lore and original license lore anyways…)
