Wesker

So after a couple of days what tier would you put wesker at? I personally think he's a low B or high C tier but I see some streamers thinking he's a high B low A, I'm just curious where the rest of the community here puts him at and why?

Wesker is B tier for sure.

    Nemesis feel stronger than wesker.

His power can't break pallet and door and it just have two tokens.

Blight have 7 rush and nurse have 3 blinks with add-on.

Why wesker have only 2 dash ?

I put him in B tier. He's just a weaker Demogorgon

I'd say B tier, but close to A. He has good mobility, but not a great one. His power ressembles nurse's blinks, but you cannot go through objects and you move less. Survivors can easily dodge your dashes, and if you catch them with it they could be thrown towards an area that benefits them. The collissions are inconsistent and need to be revised, and I do not see his infection being a huge deal. And who thought that a 40-meter terror radius was a good idea? Starstruck is too op when playing Wesker due to that, but it also warns survivors earlier.

Conclusion, his power, although clearly chase-oriented, also gives him a slightly better movility than the average killers, and the sprays giving information are fine, but the easy counter to his power and his large terror radius could give him some advantages despite making things worse for him. As I said, he's B tier for me, but close to A tier.

This was my thoughts he's like a weaker Demo or Billy, and to top it off you're punished by landing a power hit because the time it takes to get to a wall depending on where you're at and then the animation just for an injure and not even a down

I think he did is like, mid a tier. He has lethality, just not really much mobility.

I see some of the benefits he has that give him the potential but at the same time the amount of downsides he's got almost negate it but that's just my opinion and I can see what makes him good from your point of view you're not wrong

If we go off an average setup for him (not using iri addons) probably B roughly.

Dont get me wrong he is cool and it's nice his ability has multiple uses such as to attack, vault and even cover distance but his charge up and movement speed penalties hurt him alot especially when it comes to most loops.

Hes great on longer corner structures, as soon as it's not a long right angle his power massively weakens as they often can get round and you no longer get an angle. So most basic loops you wont often get an angle and if you had time to use your ability you could probably just of basic attacked anyway (hes good at shack, and L walls )

    A tier without bugs.

He can close gaps easily and has answers to loops. His lethality is pretty high, he just doesn't have much in the way of map mobility. He is also fast to get people on the hook. It's about the time management he has, more than anything, I think.

Wesker's pallet vault is useless. Hoping he will get buff.

Destroy pallet should be base kit and change his add-on.

Yes I agree with that, changes like this would bring him closer to where alot of people are rating him in my opinion but right now i feel hes too add on dependant to be a threat against a good squad, we were running meme builds and still escaping last night on the ptb but that could be due to mmr never working properly on there also, wesker feels like he needs a few buffs before I consider picking him over let's say Demo or Billy

I think he's A tier all day. He has lethality, slowdown, good anti-loop (especially at straight/wall loops), and can close short-medium distance almost instantly. His ability to essentially grab injured survs with his power is nice, and getting flashlight saves against him is gonna be a rarity.

His one weakness is map control, but you can actually use his power to cover longer distances more quickly than most killers.

In the hands of skilled killers, Wesker is gonna be tough.

I think his map mobility is heavily lacking. The cool down is too long on his ability to be used for general mobility. It's not like Nurse.

It's not nurse, but it's better than all the 4.6 only killers (which is like half the roster), so I would say his map control is probably average. And I think that is his only "weakness".

And the rest of his kit is really strong. I think he's easily better then Nemesis (just using the popular comparison).

And of course the fun factor is off the charts (and I was really down on the idea of Wesker before).

B maybe A at a push. Basically nurse designed in 2022

Pallet vaults are actually pretty good, but they’re more situational than you might think.

You can’t really use it at most loops, but it’s great if you can mindgame with it, which is more niche or it can help you catch up to a survivor after they pre drop a pallet

It useless , when survivor can do like this.

I think destroy pallet like demogorgon is better.

He literally moved away from the pallet in the first clip, he probably would've got a hit if he bodyblocked it properly. That second pallet is pretty easy to mindgame with m1 as well, so there's really no reason to vault it at all.

Wesker's vault has given me some pretty nasty hits, and it especially shines at stronger pallets that take time to loop around. It's far from useless. Let killers have unique things in their kit.

Potentially high B-tier, but his hitboxes need work. Indoor maps will be a real pain.

A tier, a solid power which you can use to block windows with bamboozle, gr8 save the best synergy and the infection which provides passive slowdown as the survivors have to interact with it. He also has a bit of map pressure since his dash is noticeably faster than walking.

Map control isnt that important if he has enough lethality tbh and to me seems like he has that. Though if they dont fix him and he keeps getting stuck on nothing, closed maps and maps with clusters will be a nightmare for him.

He's A tier. About as strong as Artist.

I think he’s fine as he is, but he’s pretty buggy and those bugs need to get fixed.

He’s basically an objectively better Demogorgon in various respects and a weaker Nurse in others, so A tier. Specifically

    • His Bound is better in various ways than Demo’s Pounce. Because he can Bound twice in a row he can hit survivors from around corners and positions that Demo literally can’t hit. He has instant downs that Demo doesn’t. Demo breaks pallets, which is nice, but it also gives the survivor more time to run to a new tile than leaping it does in the case of really strong tiles so they’re on par in that regard. And Wesker can use his Bound to catch back up to a fleeing survivor a bit like Blight can use a Rush to do that whereas is Demo tries to Pounce after a fleeing survivor his miss cooldown is so long it’s not worth it. And lastly his Bounds can hinder survivors movement speed by 8% which is a significant slowdown.
    • He has good map mobility with his Bounds. Demogorgon can teleport longer distances but only can teleport to fixed preset portals while Wesker can use the Bound pretty much at will to quickly get across about 21 meters or so at a pop. So it’s not as big a distance but it’s a lot more flexible.
    • The only thing I can think of that Demo is clearly better at is his Killer Instinct gives better actionable tracking information than Wesker’s Instinct when a survivor uses a spray.

So assuming they iron out the rough edges of Wesker’s collisions I’d put him squarely in a range between Demo but below Nurse and Blight. I put Demo at high B or low A tier so Wesker could be mid A tier is my guess if those minor issues are addressed.

Don't get me wrong I don't think he's bad but he's lacking, I can count on one hand how many times I've died to wesker since the ptb started and they may be people not understanding the power or just a mismatched MMR lobby, he just seems really predictable and in order for him to be a solid A tier I have to include his add ons plus build options available that synergize, but base kit alone he just doesn't seem like much or a threat, billy and Oni can instadown in a dash while wesker cant without having something else , so with add ons and build options I agree hes A tier but with base kit im on the fence its like i can compare him to a few other killers that people consider B tier and you cant definitively say that hes better but you cant say hes worse really either, i think he needs a few small qol changes to bring him to where hes more viable against really good teams

  • dugman
    dugman Member Posts: 9,713

Wesker can instant down in a Bound with no add-ons. (Unless you mean it doesn’t happen all the time, which is true, the survivor has to be fully infected.)

  • The_Krapper
    The_Krapper Member Posts: 3,259

Yea that's kinda what I meant, it requires the survivors to almost allow it to happen, I would compare it to onryo's condemn getting full, sure it can happen and you get that free kill but how likely is it to happen consistently? If wesker could get some of the collision reworked, allow his ability to break pallets base kit, and adjust to give him a hair better mobility he would be A tier without a doubt in my mind at base but theres a few small changes I personally would like to see before he goes to live.

  • dugman
    dugman Member Posts: 9,713

Wesker getting fully infection happens a lot more frequently than Sadako’s Condemned getting to full status. Which is fine, obviously, since the stakes are also much higher if you lose track of Condemned versus Wesker’s Infection. Also note that even if survivors are using sprays to get rid of infections that’s still a plus for Wesker because it’s giving him additional slowdown in the process.

This prove nurse is OP again, because I think wesker is basically a nerffed nurse. I think nurse need a rework.
