I thought this was not a thing...? Any video of people escaping with active RBTs?

You can't, I mean you can technically, but that's through hatch, if you try to exit through the exit gate, they explode, but an active RBT only happens when a gen pops, so if pig put the hat on after gens are done, it can't become active and the survivor can leave with a free hat

They generally try to not have scenarios where there's only a lose lose situation happening. Are there lose lose situations in the game... yes, but not having this one is one less lose lose situation.

Because of EGC. You can make an endgame build with Pig and give yourself the most annoying slow search addons. Guaranteed kills without doing anything all game if you just NOED one guy and they start trading to save.
The goal of the traps is game delay, not giving cheese kills to people who aren't good enough to get the hooks for it on a consistent basis.
Pig sucks but this isn't a buff she needs.
EDIT: NVM active trap should kill them. Inactive traps should not because of above.

The only way you can escape with an Active Trap is through the hatch which means everyone else has either died or escaped.

You can't. Do you have a video of someone going through the gates with an active trap? I've never seen that happen with an active RBT unless it's an escape through hatch which is a whole different animal than the gates

Not the gates, I mean the hatch. I timed it perfectly so that they guy would be dommed, turns out he just went for hatch. Apparently its always been the case, makes zero sense to me

Because of balancing. Pig would literally just have to camp the boxes and the last survivor wouldn't have any hope of having a means to escape at all if she could do that. Just a lose-lose situation. As much as I love Amanda, she does not need the ability to block every single means of exit because that'd be OD and there's almost no way to stop that in a 1v1 vs last surv.

You should of looked for hatch instead of watching the boxes.

The gates are a horizontal borders for traps made by Fog.
- During one of their weekly Streams, Developers Dave and Ash revealed that the Hatch has a deep connection to a particular Character.
- Over the years, this has been attributed to be Vigo, given his ability to create things and "bend The Fog's irrefragable rules".
- The general consensus is that the Hatch was created by him.
Hatch's tunnel is vertical. Also.. this statement can mean, that Vigo's hatch leads to room that has everything necessary to escape (including the key to reverse beartrap).

You can't unless its a hatch. If you saw someone fly through an exit gate with a red trap on it should be reported.

There are a couple of different ways to do that made available through map design and the a few of the pig's add-ons. Even if that fails you can take a stroll to patrol boxes.

You should get the RBT trap on your head cosmetic for the character when you hatch escape with it. Seriously would be so fun trying to get the "RBT head" on all survivors.
