Are there Ghosts in DbD?

So I'm seeing ghosts in DbD.

I swear on all I have, I watch a survivor run and go behind an object, then poof they are gone, and I don't mean a loop and I lose them, I mean behind like a stack of tires or something open where they literally can't get past without being seen.

The crows aren't disturbed no scratch marks but I saw them run ( Healthy so It's not perk related).

if this was once in a blue moon fine, but this is like 2 or 3 times per game and at least in every 2 in 10.

I get that some hackers will lag switch etc, but this doesn't feel like that, it literally feels like it's the game messing up on some weird level.

Has anyone else had this??

    Lag.

In reality the survivor ducked behind something else and you did legitimately lose them. But on your screen, they carried on running, on a path which took them behind that stack of tires, then the server corrected itself and put there where they're supposed to be, somewhere behind you completely out of sight.
