Why is my mouse sensitivity suddenly so high?

I logged in yesterday, and the mouse sensitivity was so high that the game was unplayable as killer. I read a post by a moderator last year that this was probably related to Steam overlays. I disabled overlays, but the problem is still there. Mouse sensitivity settings in game don't seem to do anything. Anyone else suddenly experiencing this?

    Did your mouse itself suddenly get much more sensitive? Sometimes we need to talk through their problems because they're a lot more sensitive than you realise

    Possibly a silly question, but do you have this button? Have you clicked it? This button gives me 3 different sensitivities and I accidentally click it sometimes
