I really don't understand why it got patched. It's not like people were actually taking advantage of it. Even most survivors thought it was fun.

Depends on various factors such as the velocity during his space launch, gravity, p-distance etc.
Project Space-Billy has been a full success. He's recently overtaken a space shuttle screaming in joy.

I remember one time we were having fun with a Skybilly and he accidentally landed behind the exit door and we had to rescue him.

Im pretty sure I remember one post about them removing it or at least 1 comment where someone was salty they got downed by it and were acting like it was the next J flick in terms of exploits hahaha

Devs hate Hillbilly. They removed Skybilly but never fixed his animations which got changed right before his rework in 2020.
Just be glad they still haven't pulled something like "due to an unknown bug, the Hillbilly has been permanently deleted".

I want at least like a skin or cosmetic of Hillbilly in a space suit. Or like a little Hillbilly riding a rocket with one hand waving a hat similar to that one scene in Dr. Strangelove as a charm.

I only managed SkyBilly twice and each time the survivors loved it, flashlights waving & group bowing - it was fantastic fun for them & me and the post-game chat was wholesome AF!
Sadly, no more.

So we had Skybilly, then Spacebilly got reintroduced, and now we have nothing. Why can we not go back to before patch 5.7.0?

I miss Skybilly so much. It offered no real advantage, but I had so many wholesome memories with it. I'd throw games so much to practice a new jump, and whenever survivors realized what was up they'd get excited. I remember once I flew on top of shack and they all threw their firecrackers down when I made it.
I wish I understood why they took something out that offers no advantage, just wholesome memories. Especially when it has been in the game since launch.
I don't care about Space Billy, sure it's fun, but if you saw a SkyBilly you knew they were a Billy main and they took a lot of time practicing those jumps. :(
