Has doctor died in 2022?
I miss getting his therapy. I always played against docs through the years and now he's just dead. People only play him for 1 impossible gen perk build and I miss his electric therapy pole.

the one i have seen was a facecamping one who only used his power to check if someone is close by. sad

I play him when I want to pip up or get a decent amount of BP. There's also a few tomes challenges I still need to complete with him. The main reason I don't play him more is because his chase music is a bit much for me if I play him too many times in one night. I still need the steam achievement though, so I'll have him in my rotation for a bit still.
Watch out though, I'm currently running Haunted Grounds, Devour, Undying, and Retribution on him. So beware if you see all them totems lit up 0_0

Doctor is my most disliked killer. Get him all the time, no like.

That achievemt was pain lmao. What was it like 500 shocks? The amount of screams I had to endure. Out of every achievement that one was the most annoying

I used to main him but switched to legion and sadako some time ago. He feels unplayable without the shock delay addons, for some reason the latency feels worse than it used to.

He was just a lot more unique back when he had two modes to swap, nowadays he just feels so onedimensional, at least to me.
I really like him, but just don't play him a lot anymore :/

Agreed.
Doctor used to be a very common killer for me, especially back when I first started playing.
After the rework, however, I've barely seen him.

Doctor is picked about the average amount over the last two weeks on the aggregate site I follow. (3.4% of games which is about the mathematical average for 29 killers). Keep in mind that with almost 30 killers in the game on average you'll only see a particular killer once every 30 games or so.

I play him when I’m doing rift challenges. His issue is the same as other M1 killers, he’s easy to counter and and be looped for a good while by good survivors. His power is really only annoying to bad solo potatoes, so it’s not surprising he’s not popular. People would rather not be looped over and over and play as Nemesis or Blight.
If I see you in the trials, I’ll be sure to give you a nice therapy session and to be gentle when using my tool.

No no no, I will always be around to give you therapy, and to shock you
On a side note: it's funny, because of how rare doc is, people forget about his 2.5 second disable A LOT, and it's so funny when they just sit there with the surprised Pikachu face... and I am also guilty of this, because I never face doc, I only play him, and my brain can't make the adjustment apparently, lol

Which tome is docs tome? Just curious because I'd like to complete those challenges with my favorite killer

Doctor is extremely weak on larger maps, and very oppressive on smaller maps. I only play him if I have offerings, he is just too easy to bully on most maps.

I believe it was Tome 2 where he had some challenges.

I think the cause is that survivors started to eat tons of apples

He's just outclassed by many other killers. The shock is very hard to hit, half the time people still vault or drop the pallet anyway since there is a delay. You get slowed down when you do the shock so you don't actually gain any distance, and he has very little map control.

I play mostly Doctor for some time now.
Distressing Shock + Flan is every time minimum of 50k BPs for me. If someone else brings Flan or Cake or BPS it is really worth it.
I don´t kill much with him, therefore most are chill matches.

I see Doctor a lot on DBD Mobile. I can almost guarantee it's strictly because he makes the mobile skillchecks incredibly obnoxious.
Can't say I miss him on console.

Not a huge reason to play him. The tracking can be nice, but it usually just confirms suspicions for an experienced killer player. Newer players will benefit a lot more from Static Blast because they have trouble tracking.
And his anti-loop is really inefficient. It's bad enough where you have to decide whether it's worth taking the time to get the hit in 4-5 rotations vs forcing the pallet down.

Doctor is one of my favourite killers to go against, and in the past few days I have literally seen more Twins than Doctors.

I played games only to make survivors scream to get that one most played along and all 4 came to my shock therapy many times.

I would rather you use those nice hands of yours 😳

Good. He's obnoxious, has little counterplay if the player has a basic grasp on timing, causes sensory issues to many players, and is not fun to fight. But at least he's more fun than blight.

Doc is easy mode for me. I play him when my evening's going badly and I need an easy win. Or whenever there's a tricky tome challenge. My current main is Dredge, who's a ton of fun and pretty strong, so I play Doc less these days.

Here's the thing Doc is one of my favorite Killers because of his style but his ability to "lockdown" pallets and vaults is very weak because of the detention delay and overall range. You either don't time it right and they still vault or drop or you do but your too far away to stop them or and this is my favorite is you do everything right and are close enough to stop them but they still drop in the middle of the scream animation.
His add-ons need some work too the only real viable ones imo are the files to add the effects to madness or if I feel like being a real nasty Doc is King and Queen (this is my go to combo because why not)
