So it looks like Overwatch 2 will be featuring cross progression
Overwatch players will be able to merge their accounts between platforms such as PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch.
This leads me to believe that cross progression may still be a possibility for Dead by Daylight, although I am unsure what measures need to be taken by Bhvr to bring such a thing to fruition. Perhaps only the right price needs to be discussed between Bhvr and the platform owners?
At the end of the day, though, I still feel like Dbd receiving cross progress is on the more unlikely side, but this does give me a sliver of hope that it's still at least a possibility.

DBD has become something of a titan in the gaming industry.
Its lack of competitive scene holds it back from garnering a larger audience, but DBD has definitely cemented its name as the quintessential asymm horror franchise.
While the game is a bit rife with balance issues and the playerbase (at least on Steam) appears to be dwindling, I wouldn't write DBD off as being unable to bring platforms together

I'm still unsure, however I'm 99% sure this is something to do with Microsoft and Sony rather than BHVR as it seems like something they want too.
While I'm unsure why Xbox would be against it, it isn't completely unknown that PlayStation has never really been one for working with competitors.

I mean it depends on how the coding goes
Plus we don't know if there are any issues with Blizzard doing it

it probably all boils down to the spaghetti code
