BT base increased to 10 seconds (hopefully people dont abuse this to body block <3)
Wesker buffed and getting quality of life improved
Awakened awareness being recognized as a problem on nurse. Even thought thats mostly a nurse thing so poor AA.
I'm surprised they didnt touch Hyperfocus but hopefully it wont be a problem.
And better yet now i have enough confidence in BHVR to say that if its a problem they will be on top of it.

And btw they simultaneously helped survivors with tunneling with the BT increase and camping with Reassurance so hopefully survivor players will be happier as well.

Definitely looking forward to this next chapter! I do agree, the devs have been giving us really good updates in the past few months.
I wish some things came faster, especially when it comes to improving the solo Q experience for survivors.

Dunno about that one, never really cared about Thana and even though DMS is crazy nerfed it now works with PR which is fun.

The whole point of 6.1.0 was to change the meta and "herd" Killers into playing "nicer".
The problem with that is that they nerfed basically all the Perks that incentivized leaving the Hook/going for multiple Hooks, while buffing Perks that enforced 3-Genning, camping and tunneling

Wasn't that the one where their plan was to get killers kill rates higher? Personally, I'm loving the changes. I really don't think 9 or 10 people on the forums who dislike it constitutes as failure.

Yeah. They've been doing quite competently recently. They even reverted the recent change to MoM, when acknowledging purposeful missteps has proven to be a weakness of theirs (see Hillbilly). If they nerf Nurse in some sufficient way, improve solo-que knowledge/communication, and make basekit nerfs to the camping strategy (stop band-aid fixing bad gameplay with perks: Assurance) those are the three major things left that still need addressing. Particularly if those first two finally get addressed, I'll be able to unironically give this game a positive review on Steam after all these years. Though more perk reworks would be eagerly welcomed.

What the hell are you on about? The meta perks got nerfed, but killers got a bunch of baseline buffs that were more impactful. Killers are now less reliant on camping and tunneling than ever. The reason too many still use those tactics is because they are still very strong, but take much less effort than playing normally, which is why they need to be nerfed.
The 6.1.0 update was not a failure, but it also wasn't a success. But the main reason that it wasn't a succes is because survivors didn't get the same treatement as killers got when it came to nerfing camping and tunneling. Killers now have a more varied meta actually. Just that certain slowdown perks are still very strong. But survivors meta really didn't change much.

The Killer meta isn't very varied right now. You have PR for long range slowdown and Overcharge/Eruption/Call Of Brine for 3-Genning. That's it.
Camping and tunneling still is necessary because the base-kit changes were QOL improvements, they barely changed anything. Everyone is screaming about 10 extra seconds per Generator as if it made the game piss-easy for Killers

Pretty sure it was the encourage the playing of other killers.. not playing nicer. This update is definitely more geared towards that.

I was pleased to see bloodweb cost reductions. It doesn’t help me get rid of the thousands of useless items and add-ons that I will never use, but it’s a start.

Hyperfocus is overestimated, it so difficult to stack and literally need so much focus because u need stack and if u miss the great skill check you lose your progress and the perk come back to zero, i dont think it will be use so much, because, seriously? it is not a fun perk to use.
Awakened Awareness and Terminus (wesker), Wiretap(Ada) and probably reassurance(Rebecca) will be the most popular perks in this Chapter. Reassurance maybe will be forgettable in the near future.
Superior anatomy, a few especific build can be use
Low profile, hardly ever someone go to run
Reactive Healing is an absolutely meme perk, this perk shocked me about not changes, complete useless perk
Better than new and hyperfocus will be rare after 2, 3 months since realease.
But yeah, this game is nice now, SWF and killers never being so much balanced like right now, just give a little improvements for solos, and this game will be perfect. The meta change made this game much more fun, but, not for solos yet

I think Hyperfocus will be popular personally, with more experienced players anyway. I agree that it's a difficult perk to pull off. Anyone who does pull it off deserves its value imo. I actually like the new Better Than New lol if I buy the chapter it'll be for that

There are videos on youtube showing that with a toolbox and hyperfocus you can complete a solo gen in 45 seconds. No one deserves that value, that's broken af.

No I can't agree. Been using only 1 or two, sometimes no slowdown perks at all, and I am doing fine. Aura perks in particular are now much more attractive because gens take longer at base.
I agree that some people are very much overreacting to the baseline buffs killers got. It didn't suddenly change up everything and made killer easy. Definitely not. But they definitely have had an impact, more than the perk nerfs in my opinion. Killer is definitely in a better spot than it was before, so I hope they don't change that.
And no, I disagree that camping and tunneling is necessary, at least generally speaking. I understand there can still be situations where this is true, which is also why I think camping and tunneling can't be nerfed too much. But some decent nerfs need to happen. Basekit BT is getting buffed, that's great.
Now we just need the hook phase duration to be increased from 60 to 70 seconds, and hook grabs removed, the latter mainly only being used by facecampers, and the game will be in a fantastic state. Those nerfs also wouldn't make camping "impossible", or extremely weak, but survivors would have a bit of a better chance at fighting back against a camping killer, and winning against such killers. And that's exactly what the game needs at the moment, shown clearly by queue times.
After that they can continue to try and improve the game's balance for both sides, hopefully further pushing the game into rewarding going for hooks more than anything else.
