Challenge: open the hatch 2 times
Been trying for 4 hours straight. I'm just too dumb to reach the end game for many reasons. If I reach the end game I have no way to tell the others "leave so hatch spawns". If the hatch spawns, the killer won't always close it. Any tips?

Hop in a random locker in the end game so teammates don't feel like they need to stay for something?

I tried everything. Sadly in solo I have no way to say to my teammate "leave" even if I point at the exit. I'm hopeless. I'm also sure that this challenge is too situational. I need to hope to arrive to end game (which is ok) but I also need to hope that my teammates leave and that the killer closes the hatch. I've never seen a killer closing hatch when all survivors escape from the exit gates. The only realistic way is to play like a useless teammate. Never touching a gen or saving, hoping that they die so the killer is more motivated to close the hatch and go for the exit gates.

My only 2 successful key uses occurred when my teammates did not escape from gates, but rather all died. Killer closed hatch and began to patrol doors.

Yeah that's what I have to do. I just need to hope I won't be the dead teammate :P

My only tip is: Don't do this challenge. It isn't worth the effort.
If I ever accomplished this since they broke hatch I would expect nothing short of 10 million blood. It is nearly impossible and you have no control over it. Survivors rarely leave until the last second, so the hatch won't even spawn until then. Then the killer would have to find it in that small amount of time AND close it AND not kill you AND not close it right away again before you can use it. I have no clue if a key blocks the hatch being closed but if you and the killer are both at the hatch the game gives the killer the priority to close it.
So skip it. Maybe bug it in the bug forum. It is broken and nearly impossible.

Maybe hope that the killer doesn't spot the key and will not bring franklins

You're absolutely right. I've seen nobody using keys to open hatch since the hatch itself got changed a while back. I think they should change this challenge in "get the hatch" and that's it. Way too situational in my opinion.

They should just replace the hatch challenges for both sides from the old tomes. They are waaaaay too situational now.

Use perk left behind and perk solo survivor. You can use offering that hatch spawns in house or in shack if you want. Then play match normally and do gens but if it looks your team is losing or you get hooked then just hide and wait your teammates to die. Then hope the killer closes hatch and leaves.

Thanks all for the tips ^^

I did this challenge in like 4 or 5 attempts (because the other ones I died before the endgame)
It's easier than you think. This is my suggestion:
If you are PC, try to communicate in the lobby that you need to escape through the hatch. Try to get into a lobby with people on PC so they can read what you say. If you are not PC, well too bad but it's not the end of the world. You can also point towards the exit in an attempt to tell them to leave when the gates are opened.
Showing a key in the lobby has the potential to trigger the killer to tunnel you. There are 2 builds to make this challenge easier
Plunderer's Instinct + Appraisal + Offering for the hatch to spawn somewhere
You gonna need to find a key in a chest. With Plunderer's the chances of finding the key is fairly big. If you can't find just try another game. You should find at least 1 key in 2 games. It's important to not have the key in the lobby and offer for the hatch to spawn because that's a good reason for the tunnel.
The other build is: Bring a key with you + Left Behind + Open Handed (You can use Kindred to take even more advantage of Open Handed, or not use Open Handed at all since Left Behind still has a good aura coverage)
You will not know where the hatch will spawn but you will see its aura with Left Behind. Just wait for the killer to close it and leave.
To be even safer, you can bring Inner Healing or Self Care to wait for the hatch to spawn and not make any noise or drop blood pools.

The quickest way would be to wait for your team to die and let the Killer close the hatch. It’s scummy, but it’s the best way to brute force the challenge without a SWF. I don’t like this challenge :p
