Spirit is still S tier at basekit
I mainly mean low S tier, while Nurse and Blight are high S tier. Spirit without add ons is still the third best killer in the game and does deserve to be a tier above everyone else but a tier below Nurse and Blight.
Short bursting is still effective at a lot of loops and her mobility isn’t super strong basekit but the movement speed in phase gives her a lot of lethality. Sometimes directional audio can make her stronger than before as going one way might give you an idea of what a survivor will do since they know which direction you’re coming from. That buff in prediction makes her more consistent when properly utilized.
On a side note, she doesn’t need Mother-Daughter Ring and Dried Cherry Blossom to do well. The combo doesn’t help learn how to play her and it hurts in the long run more than it helps. She is still very strong, fun, and rewarding without them. For hard of hearing people though, I understand the reasoning. That’s why we should bring back Father’s Glasses.

Yes, yes, and yes! Spirit in the right hands can be deadly, she is 100% S tier worthy even after the nerf. Can't change my mind.

Spirits base kit gives me insane Imposter Syndrome. I always mind my husk, try to bodyblock, look who is shitting in the tall Grass etc. But some days I feel like none of my mindgames or brute force efforts have much effect. So much so I almost feel better off playing a more straightforward Base killer like Slinger.
Why would you rate her base kit overthe likes of Plague or Dredge? Plague has no killer power but ar least she naturally invalidates Iron Will, Shadowstep and all healing items and perks. That's immediate value that Plague enjoys just by existing, AND shes 115.
I would say Spirit would be indisputably #3 if she were 115 but that fact that shes not...I just dont see it.

I think I disagree but if you hear me out I'll explain
Spirit's power at its core without perks or addons - is still really good but it's also more manageable for survivors due to the information survs have to work with. Ideally you don't want Spirit to be S tier, you want her to be in the A or B tier because those tiers house killers with powers that are (typically) more balanced for both sides.
However, recently I realised that people tend to overestimate the addons a spirit is using - I've seen many dbd streamers be like "wow this spirit must have MDR" and all they had was yellow addons that increased her power charge or her movement speed by 10%. I think this is because it's genuinely hard to tell what addons a Spirit has, It's sort of like a reverse of the ranged addon scenario where it was really noticeable
This is more of a personal experience but I've faced Spirits using MDR and half the time I can't tell the difference. Maybe it's how I play or what but I struggle to notice the difference. Dried cherry blossom is an addon I notice though. Hate that thing

Artist being a threat no matter where she is on the map makes for a pretty good contender

Here's the growth danger with her and the new BP bloodweb costs, and this will be true for all killers as well:
The purple and pink add-ons are much cheaper now, and despite losing BBQ's bonus it looks like those killers who play large amounts of the game will now be able to run the absolute strongest add-ons in pretty much every match.
It used to be just killers who played an insane amount, but I don't think that will be true after this change. Now most Spirit's will run Ring and such all the time, increasing their reliance on them & stunting their growth imo.

One of the best things spirit has going for her is a lack of map dependency, her power is just smooth enough it doesn't matter a whole lot. She may be generally overshadowed by blight now but if I had to play a game on lerys or haddonfield I know who I'd pick.

She never left S tier. Her nerf put her below Blight but she's still the 3rd best killer.

What's the point of this? You want Spirit nerfed? Is that your goal? If you convince more killers to play her thats what you're going to get. Survivors will post day after day about how to nerf her until the Devs do. Then you will be back to being upset that no one plays her again.
And a title such as this will be used against you.

As long the devs dont puplish an official tier list, she can be whatever tier you want her to be.
If you recognize her as S tier, then I'm happy for you and impressed, because I conceptually are appalled by her loss of visual tracking. But I'm not good at DBD at all so my opinion os just that.
But @Brokenbones has a point, in out current time you should definitely not put her in S tier. She might end up on the chopping block again due to our community's routine. "Nerf top killer, chose next top killer".
But this is a spirit appreciation thread and not a questionable balance thread so cheers for the ghost girl with bedhair .

Im not talking about those. Those can be just deleted for what I care. I mean brown, yellow and maybe green add ons.
Playing her addonless and with yellow add ons is like night and day for me. She feels uncomfortable without any add ons, even the browns

I took on spirit few weeks ago and im absolutely in love with her. As a huntress main she feels so nice and fast. So i guess im ditching my baba yaga for now.
I've noticed i can do well without mother daughter ring and cherry, but i do like to use cherry for the information it gives. Mother daughter ring well i havent really grown into that addon.
Also most maps for her are ok but i absolutely hate badham...that map and all its variations can be deleted all i care. I always do badly on that map. S tier or not

In my opinion, she's the second best chaser in the game. But her map control and presence are horrible. She suffers a lot from survivors pre-leaving and her power takes ages to recharge.

Her base kit is great but honestly compare to power level of base kit Nurse and Blight in right hands is just unmatched in my cases.
She is the best A tier killer, but since her info nerf to make her more fair for Survivors it dropped from S tier unless you play good addons on her.
