Is doing challenges on survivor is bad?

Is it bad when I want to do a challenge on survivor?, for example without dropping any pallets whole match, just looping and not making genes at all. Can my mmr drop drastically? Can I get ban for doing this? I'm asking because I know I can upset my solo queue teammates and it's propably not fun to play with this type of player and losing all game. Plz help

I don't think this is bannable, but not doing gens at all is definitely a way to upset your teammates (solo q or otherwise).

Your mmr drops according to if you die or if you escape, and not according to your score or what you do all game.

You can drop your mmr by dying purposefully at the end of the match and still be useful to your team throughout the game, if that is your objective.

You can play the game however you want, but if you're throwing the game for your soloq teammates, you might want to consider either changing up your challenges so it won't effect them as much or find a swf so you aren't subjecting randoms to your challenges.

Especially if you aren't a great survivor, going for challenges like the ones you listed isn't a good idea. You should instead challenge yourself in ways that improve your gameplay, not make unwise decisions. You can't get banned for doing what you're doing, unless you are completely trolling, then maybe you can if they record it and report it. Your mmr can drop drastically if you never escape. Your mmr is just based on whether you escape or not.

As another said, you certainly won't get banned but this is also why I don't think much of challenges past the first level. The further you get the more convoluted, arbitrary and ridiculous they get.

You won’t get banned however I try not to let challenges detract from the main goal of the game too much. If it’s a challenge I need to go out of my way for I’ll try to spend minimal time on it or focus on it more when we’re already in a good position to escape the trial (or if the game is hopeless, eg. 2v1 at 4 gens).
