Pin head as survivor how do you open the box when chains keep attacking it would not let me?

Bait the chain, dodge it, open the box. Normally it shouldn't spawn again in the time needed to do so.
Plus there's a high chance that the Cenobite will teleport on you.

During the chain hunt, chains spawn in groups of 3. Breaking the chain via the environment will cause it to spawn another one.
You just have to dodge 3 chains then immediately start solving the box. If you do that it won't trigger another chain attack and you'll be able to solve the box uninterrupted by those chains.

The chains don't start to come for you until the Chain Hunt has begun.
You have 90 seconds to get to and complete the box.
Just don't wait until the 90 seconds has expired.
If you get the box at 80 seconds, you complete it without a single chain to interrupt you.
It could not be simpler.
