The price has always been this for chapters that come with 3 characters.
It's not much more than chapters with only 2 characters.
It's about $3.50 per character for chapters with 2 characters and $4 per character for chapters with 3 characters. It does cost more per unit, but not by much to cause complaint.

6.99 are the usual price packages, 4.99 for single character releases totaling for 12 ish USD for a 3 character bundle.
Even though I find the price consistent, 11.99 is a lot more of an upfront cost if you're not sure you're going to like all of it.

The issue is that two survivors are bundled in there, that is why I never buy chapters. I just get the killer for five hunny. I love Ada and Rebecca, but not that much, lol. I might have bought it if it was standard chapter price? I do not know. It is fine, I will just stick to Yun Jin.

I wouldn't question random people on the internet's financial situations. They could be in a situation where money is super tight and spending $12 on a DLC that they aren't even super into is too much for them. They also could just be someone who has money but feels like the DLC isn't worth it. The point is you don't know their situation and shouldn't be telling them to get a job. Some people work many jobs and still barely have enough money to pay for their needs.

I can definitely empathize with not having the money to spend, but my question is - what would you expect it be?
They have to pay for the licensing, so $12 for 3 characters from a big franchise is not unreasonable at all.

Why would you pay less per character in this than a standard chapter? It's licensed, with 9 perks, and a new killer power mechanic.
And frankly, if $12 is too much for someone (and I'm not judging, there's no shame in that), how is it smart to spend $9 on a video game DLC either?

it's always been 12 dollars for 2 survivors and 1 killer. Twas like that with the Stranger Things chapter, as well as the last RE chapter. I'd honestly just buy the characters you want. I know I didn't care about Jill, but I liked nemesis and leon, so I bought them separately, and I spent 10 dollars instead of 12. I know I sound like a cheapskate, but it adds up in the end. I don't really care about the umbrella charm anyways.

But what does any of that have to do with the way Behaviour themselves price their chapters? Nobody was talking about the interests of Capcom.
Behaviour charges $12 for a chapter with 3 characters, and presently, those have only been licensed chapters. Whether they pay up front or not, Behaviour is still effectively paying for the right to use these characters. If it were an original chapter with 3 characters, Behaviour would make all $12 of that as profit, vs. giving that money to Capcom/Netflix/etc.
You can argue semantics about paying upfront vs. just losing money in the long run, but my point was they pay for it, one way or another.

Look, i get it. I used to have to think about making even $1 purchases for things for a long time while making barely more than minimum wage and having bills to pay. So i am very sympathetic to people in that situation. I'm lucky to not be in that situation anymore and now i don't actually have to think about small purchases anymore.
But if your financial situation is such that you can't just spare the $12 to purchase the DLC and have to really stretch to do it. I'd argue you probably should be prioritizing other things in your life than a video game. Generally even being in a rough state with your money you should be able to at least scrape together $12 somehow, and if you can't (which, believe me, i know, i was there once) then you should be doing something else.
