Value of hiding on death hook
Today I had two matches where I downed and camped till second stage. Both times the killer lost me after I got unhooked.
I got as far away as possible, healed and most importantly kept low. One match doing a super safe gen away from the action and another utilising the hud to keep my distance from a legion hiding.
The legion kept frenzying to find me to get one out at all cost and I pre-ran every time as far as possible and kept moving. All the gens got completed and doors opened because he wouldn’t commit to a fresh hook. The other match the same thing except he got me at the end of the match and my teammates still opened the door before I was hooked.
Its still important to be strategic even if you find yourself one hook away from being sacrificed, it’s also important to note that your teammates “aren’t doing anything” If they are keeping a low profile.

Survivors seem to not understand this. Instead, they play like they are invincible and then are surprised when you quickly find and kill them.
Being dead is a lot worse than being slow and stealthy.

Yes, it's a very important skill to be a good survivor. Walking away from a gen while you are dead on hook, without hearing the TR, because you just have a feeling and know no one else is being chased. That is very valuable for any survivor

Exactly. The killer will be reluctant to chase others because they're looking for you specifically. So basically you're helping your team simply by staying alive. If you're healthy, you can probably still push a gen in a far corner. But as soon the killer gets you, it's a 3v1 for everyone else.
