Hide Your Name , Streamer mode and friend list

Does "Hide Your Name" makes you invisible to other players on your friends list? Meaning that i can be invisible on steam as well and play "offline" on dbd so that my friends dont see me on steam and on dbd. Simple as that, by the wording that they gave it, it seems that it does but im was just curious to know because if it does i really like it!

Hide Your Name hides your name from yourself. If you're streaming, then people watching your stream won't see your name. From testing this option out while playing with a friend, it seems that friends still see your name and still see that you're online. It just specifically hides your name on your own screen.

Thanks! I was hopping that finally it was possible to play offline in dbd as well, oh well xD

What got me confused was this part " Elsewhere in the menus, your account name will appear as "You" and be hidden in your Friend List."
