Tips to counter open maps like Coldwind as Scratched Mirror
As the title suggests I am looking for tips to help with open maps as scratched mirror Myers. I had an Ada run me into an infinite with an almost completed gen and two other survivors in the Thompson house both working on that gen and there was only one gen left to finish, what was I supposed to do, camp the gen Ada was on while it regressed and risk the other gen popping or keep going after the two survivors in the house and still have a gen pop still taking an L? That game really frustrated me and I’m lost at what I was supposed to have done.

There are no infinites.
However, Scratched Mirror on open maps is pretty much useless. There aren't many tips to give.

You don't.
You need to bring map offerings for indoor maps if you want to play scratched mirror seriously. If you're on an open map like coldwind then it can be funny as a meme but you shouldn't really expect to win with it.

Try Vanity Mirror instead.

The basic pallet long wall-short wall tiles are infinites once dropped, and especially the see-through Coldwind/Macmillan specific ones.

My brother in Christ, I know you were around when there were actual infinites.
The term infinite refers to a loop you could do nothing about. You can kick the pallet, I assure you.

Long ago there were countless infinites, but the maps were adjusted accordingly. Removing some popular infinite loops, adding the window blocking after a few vaults, so on.
There are no infinites anymore. Sure there are more or less difficult chase areas, but you can catch anyone with enough persistance
