Wesker Exit Gate Bug
So, can we talk about how Wesker has his own version of Blood Warden. I decided to play a match the other day and when I tried to escape, he grabbed me and threw me at the gate. This blocked the gate so I couldn't leave and I checked his perks and add-ons to see what happened. I was confused and I clipped it. I decided to test this theory and waited by the exit gate again against a different Wesker. He threw me at the gate and it blocked the exit. Can someone explain to me what's going on? Have you tried the point-tech after he's slammed you into it, from healthy to injured, or does it literally hold you in there for that long?

I died both times waiting to leave, he comes off cool down and slashes me.

I'm pretty sure Wesker does the same thing Twins and Cenobite do with their powers, where they block you from leaving if you're hit.

Where in his description does it say it blocks exit gates? If one killer has the ability to block exit gates with their power why not all killers? (Like clown, huntress etc.)

As far as I know it's not a bug and works as intended, which is good.
If you don't want to get killed, just leave.

Haven't tried that, but you have enough time after you get hit to escape if you go from healthy to injured.

Why so quick to dismiss it? Isn't odd that it only affects that survivor and not everyone? How would you play around that as a survivor if you're being chased?

Who's dismissing it? People are telling you it's not a bug. It's specified on the wiki:
Survivors recently hit with a Bound Attack are unable to leave through the Exit Gate for 5 seconds.

As was already pointed out, the powers of Twins and Cenobite also have this effect of blocking the exit gate for a short time.
Whether or not this interaction with the exit gate is good can be debated, but it's not a bug as you claim in the title of this thread.

Honestly i think more killer powers should work like this.
I prefer these kind of clutch moments instead of the exit gates being 100% safe

It negates the concept of taking a protection hit for someone. Technically you still can, but you'll be the one going getting sacrificed instead. Promotes selfish gameplay. We so need more of that.

It isnt a bug his power is just meant to work like that. Its like the only thing that isnt a bug currently.

It also negates the pointless instances where people refuse to leave when they've won a match and just have to wait for the killer to come to the exit for no apparent reason, much like in OP's case.

He did that against me, the scenario I described, and I died. I guess it was because I didn't point tech, because his follow-up basic attack made me fall sideways and not be able to crawl out.

The guy I did it to fell sideways and was still able to crawl out before I had time to recover from my basic attack cooldown.

If there are two people at the exit gate you can heal tech through his cooldown and block and both escape easily. This is assuming a worst case scenario of both survivors injured or fully infected and can't tank a grab.
If you aren't injured/fully infected then you can absolutely 100% can take protection hits for each and be fine. Weskers exit gate blocker will only work in the extremely rare scenario of the survivor being completely alone/their teammates not knowing about heal tech.

Agreed. NGL, it would’ve been fun & funny to throw survivors out the trial though. 😂
But I imagine that would’ve got old after a while, so better this way.

Victor’s pounce that downs a survivor in front of exit gate entity wall, doesn’t say the survivor can’t escape immediately after either, and the Twins have been in the game for almost two years now.
I believe this is intended and not a bug.

It's a totally fair mechanic. If you are fully healthy (so long as you're not fully infected), you can always escape. In OP's video clip, he could actually have escaped if he waited right next to the gate instead of moving away from the gate (understandably, it was confusing at first since it looked like Blood Warden). The Exit Gates are only blocked for 5 seconds.
You should not hang around if you are already injured (or healthy but fully infected), as Wesker can slam you into the Exit Gate and immediately carry you. Also, if you are injured and Wesker throws you against the Exit Gates (thus putting you into the dying state), the Exit Gate block will allow him to come pick you up before you can escape.

As others mentioned it's not a bug. Getting hit with Weskers power will block you for leaving for 5 seconds just like Victor and Pinhead when you get hit with their powers.
Wished we had more killers like this already had several cocky survivors just hanging at the exit gates but I manged to grab them with Weskers power and got the kill.

I learned about this feature a few days ago when I took a protection hit for someone at the exit gate. I was so confused as to why the gate was blocked and for how long it would be like that so I started running away and was killed. After the game the killer told me about it so now I'm at least aware of it. Maybe even a status effect so you could see how long it's blocked for. As it is right now it's just a random set of powers that trigger it and you have no in game way of knowing why or how long it's in effect.
