You first really wanted it... but once you got it you felt after a while disapointed and wasted your shard / money. What skin or for what character was it for?

I bought school girl Spirit before Sadako existed. I have no idea what I was thinking. Years of blasting death metal has rendered me partially deaf and I can't even play her against survivors that are not equally as impaired. That was one of the only DBD cosmetics I ever purchased. Along with Bubba's swag drip (w/o the hammer), Piggy Wiggly's envy, and the Ghostface (just the cloak) that should have been default.

Yeah, I regret my Spirit cosmetic purchases, too. Once she lost her collision while phasing, I lost the only thing that made her playable for me. I can't track via sound in this game. So, those cosmetics are total wastes, now.
I really really really regret purchasing a cosmetic for Legion. I hate playing as them.

Artist's ice skin.
I bought this skin at her day one. Because i thought she is fun killer.
Anyway, after a week she started being sooooo boring. And i hated myself for wasting my aurics for her skin.

Joey's atlas flint/expo cosplayer but only minorly. At the time I was very new so I wasn't sure which one was his default and thought the devil may care one was some sort of devil may cry reference I didn't get since I've never played the games.
I don't mind it, I just simply like the default one he has more. If I knew what map I was playing on before hand I could use the Atlas Flint one on warmer maps and the default one on cooler maps but alas, I do not unless I use offerings but that means less bloodpoints.

Every Legion cosmetic I've ever bought. I mained Legion back in 2018-2019 (So like the very first version of them), so of course I bought almost all of their cosmetics they had back then. I haven't played Legion since their "rework" (Their most recent change), so all of those cosmetics are now a waste.

Every skin I bought with auric cells that ended up getting a recolor in the rift.

Oh! I have that outfit on the Switch, that's right. I forgot about that. That outfit is actually my biggest regret.
I love Blight. On PS4. When I got the game on Switch, my friend got me the Greek Blight outfit thinking that I'd get tons of use out of it when cross-progression went live.
Cross-progression never came, Blight is unplayable on Switch, and my friend wishes he'd just gotten me the outfit on PS4 instead. Thinking about that one actually makes me sad. I know it's not my fault cross-progression never came, but I feel bad that I can't use the outfit all the same.

I also can't track audio well at all (lateral hearing loss), and Spirit's recent changes make her exceedingly difficult to use for me. She was a little challenging for me before, now I am completely dependent on add ons with her, and tracking via prediction doesn't work with her directional sound. As a result she went from my most used to killer to an "on occasion" killer.
It's a bummer, because I have a ton of her cosmetics, and she has really good ones.
And agree on Legion (for the same reasons), which sucks because they have some great cosmetics.
Beyond that, not many regrets. I am really loathe to spend actual money (especially at their prices) on cosmetics, so the very few ones I do buy, I make sure I am sure. Not much impulse buying.

Robbie Rabbit skins for Legion as I decided I was going to start playing them earlier in the year. Then they suddenly got their buff and every second game was Legion and people were DCing or letting go on hook. I decided not to add to the Legion numbers after that.

I just regret buying cosmetic pieces in general with the auric cells, I only want to give BHVR money when they deserve it, and I think the shop is horrendously overpriced. I only paid for the Rift pass once, and I make sure that if I unlock a Rift I complete it, because I don't want to pay for it again (since the auric cells roll over on completion).
I bought one extra pack of auric cells once, to buy some individual pieces. I still like the items I got (I believe a shirt for Cheryl, and a Dwight outfit) - but I would prefer not to have bought them. I buy every DLC on Steam, since I feel like I am paying for the time and effort put into those. I have 3500+ hours and have never bought any of those expensive pay-only skins, I don't feel the price is warranted or deserved.
I really wanted Alessa for Cheryl when they announced the chapter, I was stoked. *But I changed my mind the first time I saw her...*

Nea's neon nights head and torso. I thought I liked the hair but after having for a little I realised it is hideous 😂 As well as Nea's graffiti outift, cause I think it's cool and all but I don't play Nea much and I would rather spend the cells on someone else.
I'll only be using shards now for cosmetics and use auric cells for the rift. Cosmetics are just... so expensive.

I bought all of the ST outfits in the sale and i regret that because i barely play the stranger things characters.
I regret buying all of Myers customisations because i think the weapons don't look good with the same knife animation in tier 2. I mean whacking people with the thin part of a flathead is just silly.
I regret buying all of the trickster outfits. I don't enjoy playing him, and i actually prefer his original design anyways.
That's about it, i have plenty of cosmetic purchases that i absolutely do not regret. There's a lot of good ones.

The ones that feel like a bigger waste of money to me are ones I got a) for a character I don't play, just because I liked how it looked or I hoped that I WOULD play the character at some point, and b) ones I got speculatively, where I didn't plan to wear them right away but they were on sale and I thought I might want them at some point.

one that comes to mind is the Titan skin for Spirit, because i really hate the weird banging noise every time you injure someone when you're using it

The Seamonster Trapper skin.
I thought it looked really cool and instantly bought it when it released, but very quickly realised that it matches horribly with all his other skins and I honestly don't think I ever used one of its pieces outside of the full set.

Pink Bunny Legion skin, bought it right when it came out, only lead to games where survivors wouldn't treat me seriously and thus games became boring. Also after Legion rework, i don't play them anymore, maybe they got changed for better, but for me they lost that something.
Graffiti Nea - First skin for her that came out and didn't make her look like an absolute blob, planned on maining her just for it, turned out that i never touched her again.
God of Desire Trickster - I loved it when we were able to change that god awful head of that set into literally any other head and make him look beautiful. Now that it fixed, he's like an abandoned toy xD
Every. Single. Feng. Skin... I bought many skins for her, i regret every one of them now

Yes, every cosmetic i bought that isnt Claudette. I see no point to play any other survivors now since the prestige rework. why would i play a survivor if they are low prestige? people are going to dodge me and think im a new player.
