Virulent Bond Extension??
Can someone tell me what on earth that is?

When you hit someone with a Bound as Wesker it will launch you an additional distance. That's what's referred to as the extension as it makes you launch even further than you normally would if you hadn't hit them.
Add-ons like the Jewel Beetle halves this extra distance and makes you throw the survivor sooner after hitting them. Or extends it further in the case of the Chalice.

Bound Extension is how far Wesker goes while carrying a survivor after the M2 connects.

Its funny when the wesker yeets you at nothing, like on the corn maps, its also funny watching someone get hit by it via bond

The extension is pretty useful from what I've found. There are times when you're trying to use your power and you need a little bit of extra distance to get the wall hit. It also effectively increases the throw distance too because you'll move further before throwing them.
I'm not sure if it's bugged, but the instadown when fully infected only seems to work when you hit them against an object and doesn't work when you throw them for some reason. That means the extra extension may be the difference between an instadown or just an injury.
