my problem with the rank progression
yo ppl of the Dbd forum,
so I am a killer main in DbD, and I try to achieve red rank 1 once again.
Now that all is fine but now I am on red rank 4 I don't get any bips at all. For example, a few days ago I played Ghostface on RPD and achieved a quick 4k. Now I know for a good rating you have to be in long chases etc. but as Ghostface that doesn't work very well.
I ended up with a 4k but with no BIP at all, which is like a slap in my face since in the end, I played good enough to get a 4k before all gens are finished but I don't have any rank progression.
If this would happen like once or twice I wouldn't give a damn, but this happened like most of time now.
With Wesker I nearly got no BIPS and I played like 10-15 games with him on one day.
Ofc. their games where I am not good and thats justified I don't get any progress or where I even get a regress, but I am tired of playing killer when I am actually playing good and don't get any progress whats so ever.

There is an easy solution to your problem: relax, chill.
In my rare killer matches (13% of all my matches last month), if I could hook up a survivor I could easily hunt for the third time, I leave him and go hunt somewhere else. I ignore this survivor for a while and let him make some blood points first. If you can hang all survivors three times because the other survivors unhook everyone twice, you have enough interaction and match time to get your pips.
You killed Yui when he had 6443 blood points. That's not good for Yui and not good for you.
To avoid misunderstandings, I do not recommend that you farm blood points. I'm recommending that you take it down a notch and kill less effectively when you're clearly superior.

Yeah, the emblem system is sometimes pretty busted.
This one was an AFK killer. Some folks criticized me for calling this out, stating that you could "easily" just hunt down the afk killer and linger around them in order to farm evader points, but that doesn't feel right with me, that you have to jump through such hoops during a game that is already a lost cause, fun wise.
Just do away with de-pipping outside of DCing and the mood of many players would improve.

The Yui in your game was Prestige 11. Doesn’t mean they’re a cracking player, but means they’ve been playing long enough to have decent game knowledge and yet she somehow only got 6k blood points. I might be wrong, but this type of scoreboard sort of reeks of camping and tunnelling. Yui obviously had no chance to do much in the game. You have to spread out damage and hooks, break pallets,kick gens etc etc and be well rounded to pip in Iri ranks.

Then that's not on you. Just the happenstance of a certain match.
