I used to be a survivor main but it seems killer is the only way to have fun now

Then do it.
Or you just do what I do: play the role you like in the moment you see the main menu.
Today, I played 1 killer (3K) and 11 survivor games (Escape-Rate: 34,88%) someday I play only killer etc.
Depends... and this is what makes the game fun for me.

survivor is just a lot rougher now. There's many situations where the game previously favoured the survivor but now it favours the killer. Like if you got downed in endgame after being unhooked. Before you would have DS so you would escape but now DS is disabled so you die. You have to endure more now.

To be fair DS at the exit gate ends up in a situation the killer couldnt do anything. That was a broken situation.
Same with tunneling strictly after being unhooked in front of the killer. U couldnt do anything as unhooked survivor. Now they fixed both situations.

You sir are a visionary.
All this “main” business usually just means biased player with in game tribalism issues.
I log in and I play the role I feel like in the moment. Keeps the game fresh.

Yeah but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The game was getting pretty bland steam rolling all but a few killers in the roster.
It feels like a bit of a reset and a refreshing change to have to flee from almost any killer not just the high tier ones.

Just play the role you think you'll have the most fun with.
I know for example that my appreciation of the roles depends on the time of day. Daytime I'm more inclined to have fun as killer, evening I don't have the brainpower for it so I prefer survivor. (Even though matchmaking is kinder to me in evenings in my experience)
Yesterday there were killer incentives, so I forced myself to play a few killer games since none of my friends were up for survivor, but I know I would have probably had more fun playing survivor had my friends wanted to join.

I only play survivor with my survivor main friend and I get quite a bit of enjoyment out of it. I get it may be unfun for survivor mains, but it is so hard to play survivor hardcore.
