Mending times
In case you didn’t know, altruistic mending comes with a 25% speed penalty relative to self-mending (12 seconds base for self, and 8 seconds for a survivor to mend another survivor). I was wondering why you think this is, as altruistic healing has no such penalty. I’m genuinely just curious!
Also, I feel it is against the spirit of the add-ons belonging to Legion and Deathslinger that increase mending times to increase all mending times (such as basekit endurance, Dead Hard, Off The Record, etc.). Should these add-ons be changed to only work on deep wounds applied by the killer’s power?

Didn't know that. The only reasoning I can come up with is that altruistic mending (someone else mending you/you mending someone else correct?) bypasses certain killer add-ons and powers. (Legion's pins wont activate and docs madness only blocks self mending)
As for the second part, personally I feel it does follow the spirit of the add-on, in addition to the wording so I vote for keeping it. Though if they could work it to not work for basekit endurance that would be nice.

That’s an interesting point! Although this was a thing before Legion’s add-ons were reworked to the self-mending penalty only.
Yeah, the wording does just say mending times.. but it has no correlation to the killer using the power in those instances. I personally think that is bogus, especially when Legion is already vying for top three most boring killers to face.

shrug Could chalk it up to laziness if you want the simple answer. Personally I just dont think bhvr thought about it much since they got mending to work without any major breaks like the previous infinite mend knives.
As for the second point, to each their own. I personally enjoy facing any killer that doesn't have a stereotypical build, which includes legions.

The biggest difference when i think about it is you always can mend yourself, whereas you cant heal yourself without the benefit of a perk/item, so a penalty on healing would be bad.

Mending times should take twice as long. They're clearly not long enough judging by how many survivors literally chase me to get hit when they have BT or OTR

To be fair, i think theyre doing that just to try and buy time and attention.

It's silly. A horror game where the survivor is literally chasing the killer to get deep wounds. Mending should take 20+ seconds so you can't "buy time"

Silly it may be, dumb it is also as im happy to throw that poor sap back onto said hook and get called "tunneler"

Mending should not take 20+ seconds. Are you crazy? 💀

" Should these add-ons be changed to only work on deep wounds applied by the killer’s power?"
Ideally yes.
But in general, I think that they should give Legion a different status effect and not Deep Wounds. Something which works exactly the same, but is not Deep Wounds (or: Endurance given by BT, OTR or other things is changed so it is not the same as Deep Wounds applied by Legion).
Because then you can tinker with one thing without affecting the other.

I didn't even know that those addons affected mending as a result of other sources besides the killer's power. That probably shouldn't be a thing, although it is a pretty minor issue.
I was aware of that 25% debuff, but it rarely matters at all. 2 survivors mending a third doesn't really happen that often to begin with.

I want Legion to get a total rework. But you’re right, it’s a problem that Legion denies every instance of endurance survivors can trigger by his power. So if it were turned into something like Doctor’s madness, that would at least resolve that issue.
Yeah, it’s not the end of the world or anything. But the altruistic speed penalty applies to even one survivor mending another (12 seconds for self vs. 8 seconds for one survivor mending another). I guess it would’ve been compared to a basekit altruistic heal of 16 seconds and 50% Self-Care, but that’s not even how Self-Care works anymore. Heh.
