Resident Evil: G
With the arrival of Project W, I got an idea for a possible future addition of Resident Evil characters to Dead by Daylight. With so many choices for Killers, from Ustanak, Infected Simmons, the boss from RE4, to everyone's favorite trench coat, fedora wearing walking meme, Mr. X. But eventually, I settled on one, and a Survivor to go with him.
New Killer: The Mutant.
An incredibly brilliant virologist, William Birkin was tasked by the Umbrella Corporation to create a more powerful version of the T-Virus in order to create the ultimate super soldier. Though the process was slow, William was successful in creating a new viral strain, naming it the G-Virus. However, William became increasingly paranoid and convinced that Albert Wesker would attempt to steal his creation. He was seemingly proven correct when Umbrella Security Services arrived at his lab, demanding he hand over the G-Virus samples.
Unwilling to hand over his life's work, William tried to fight his way out, but was gunned down immediately. Close to death, and with the USS in possession of the G-Virus, William injected himself with a sample he had hidden from them.
William's wounds healed, but the virus didn't stop working. William's rationale was replaced by mindless fury and he killed anything that crossed his path.
William's path of destruction abruptly ended, however when he was surrounded by a mysterious Black Fog and taken away to a place not quite of this world.
The Mutant's Power: G-Virus
Thanks to the regenerative properties of the G-Virus, The Mutant can withstand punishment that would kill most humans and adapt his body accordingly.
Special Attack: Ground Slam
Charge the G-Virus power by pressing the Power Button, letting out a loud bellow in the process. Once fully charged, pressing the Attack Button will cause The Mutant to charge in a straight line, grabbing the first Survivor he comes into contact with.
Grabbed Survivors are slammed into the ground when the G-Virus Charge is depleted, losing a health state and inflicted with the Hindered status effect for 8 seconds, while also immobilizing The Mutant for a brief moment.
Survivors can Struggle out of The Mutant's grasp by using Combat Knives found in Supply Cases found across the map. Combat Knives have 100 charges, but Struggling out requires 50 charges each time.
Other Survivors can help by Blinding or Stunning The Mutant, breaking his hold on the Survivor.
Special Ability: G Mutation
Slamming a Survivor, being Blinded, and pallet stunned build up G Mutation, increasing The Mutant's resilience and lethality. Damaging a Survivor with Ground Slam awards the most G Mutation, while being Blinded and stunned gives only a small amount. Once your G Mutation meter is full, The Mutant will enter a new G Mutation Stage, changing his Special Attack and decreasing the duration of Blinds and pallet stuns, while also increasing his Terror Radius.
G Mutation Stage 1: All stats unchanged.
G Mutation Stage 2: New Special Attack: Claw Lunge. Blind and pallet Stun durations decreased by 5% Terror Radius increased from 42 meters to 44 meters.
G Mutation Stage 3: New Special Attack: Pallet Throw. Blinds and pallet Stun durations decreased by 10% Terror Radius increased from 44 meters to 46 meters.
The Mutant's appearance also changes based on its G Mutation Stage.
Special Attack: Claw Lunge
Acquired at G Mutation Stage 2.
Further mutation has seen The Mutant grow razor sharp claws, replacing the rusty pipe it once wielded.
When the G Virus is fully Charged, Press the Attack Button to lunge forward, slashing your claws into one or multiple Survivors, inflicting them with the Hemorrhage status effect until healed. This Attack generates more G Mutaion than Ground Slam.
Special Attack: Pallet Throw
Acquired at G Mutation Stage 3.
After further mutation, The Mutant now possesses four arms, each with claws that can cleave through flesh and bone with frightening ease, and lift incredibly heavy objects.
When charging at a downed pallet, The Mutant picks it up and carries it in its hands. Pressing the Ability Button will cause The Mutant to throw the pallet, shattering it on impact and destroying any other dropped pallets. Survivors hit with Pallet Throw are Stunned for 5 seconds, muffling their senses and preventing them from running.
The Mutant has three Perks.
The first Perk is called: Viral Surge.
The virus coursing within you reacts to anything that would harm you and adapts.
When Blinded or pallet stunned, this Perk gains a Token. When you would be Blinded or stunned, consume the Token, inflicting the Survivor who stunned or Blinded you with the Exposed status effect for 30/35/40 seconds.
This Perk can only trigger once per Survivor per trial.
"You don't get away that easy..."-William Birkin.
The Mutant's second Perk is called: Resilient.
The G-Virus has made you far more resilient, allowing you to literally shrug off most attacks sent your way.
Flashlights take 5/6/7 seconds longer to Blind the Killer.
"G... My creation will save me..."-William Birkin.
It's final Perk is called: No Weakness
Even if you fall in battle, you can't be beaten the same way twice.
When a Survivor saves another Survivor from the Killer's grasp, they are unknowingly inflicted with the Exposed status effect for 15/18/21 seconds.
No Weakness only activates once per Survivor per trial.
"It's sheer perfection... my precious G-Virus. No one will ever take you away from me."-William Birkin.
New Survivor: Sherry Birkin
With her parents working for most of her childhood, Sherry Birkin was always alone. During the Raccoon City outbreak, Sherry was infected by her father with the G-Virus, but thankfully, Claire Redfield administered a vaccine that cured her.
However, the virus adapted to the vaccine, giving Sherry heightened regeneration, but caused no mutations. The working theory is that the vaccine she was given stabilized the G-Virus, giving her all of its benefits, but none of its drawbacks.
One day however, Sherry disappeared from her home. No one knows what happened to her, only that wisps of Black Fog were left at the scene. Sherry awoke back in a nightmare version of Raccoon City, and she wasn't alone.
Sherry has three new Perks.
Her first Perk is called: Regeneration
You possess a weaker but still potent version of the G-Virus, giving you unique abilities.
When you are in the Injured State, you heal yourself overtime, and can fully recover from the Dying State.
Regeneration has a cooldown of 100/90/80 seconds.
"But the virus changed... adapted. Been a part of me ever since."-Sherry Birkin.
Her second Perk is called: Awareness
As a child, hiding from monsters was what kept you alive.
While hiding in a locker, you can still see Auras and grunts of pain are reduced by 25%/50%/75%.
"Quick, hide!"-Sherry Birkin.
Her final Perk is called: Stun Grenade
You use what you have to keep yourself and anyone else alive.
After repairing a generator 80%/75%/50% of its progress, this Perk activates. While crouching, press Ability Button 1 to craft a stun grenade. When this grenade goes off, and the Killer is near the blast radius, they are stunned for 7 seconds.
New skins.
Leon: Jake Muller. Piers. Marvin.
Jill: BSAA. Tricell. Helena Harper.
Ada: Red shirt and black leather pants.
The Clown: Brian Irons.
The Mastermind: Midnight.
The Nemesis: Classic.
Tell me what you guys think. Also, to clarify, Regeneration functions like a reusable syringe, hence the long cooldown. So yeah, that's my idea.
