What’s the point in having perks if they’re gonna be basekit?
This is what i’m not understanding…

I don't get why they made unbreakable basekit when it should've been kindred instead, now killers like Oni and Twins and tier 3 Myers are literally pointless

Because of salt devs are making the best survivor perks basekit. Kindred is perfect to be a meta perk, every multiplayer should have a meta, would not be surprising if kindred became basekit, now that unbreakable is basekit

I agree, and its freeing up slots for survivors to bring bully the killer builds with flashlights, genrushing etc

Because there's over a hundred other perks

Because killers can tunnel/camp/slug basekit they don't need a perk, you can win games perkless if you play really scummy, survivors need perks to counter the most common tactics. What's the point of having 4 perk slots if you can only use 1 or 2 ?

Cause the Devs can't come up with new stuff without it being a perk first

Kindred should be basekit already, Idc about unbreakable basekit.
Kindred basekit would be a QoL change that wouldn’t buff swf

It wouldn't affect Myers if the just freaking paused his timer while carrying, I've always hated that

Not every perk has to be basekit. Every game should have a meta, kindred fits perfectly as a meta perk, should be used like old dead hard but no one wants to use, just demand to be basekit.

Imagine comparing old dead hard to kindred…………..

Kindred should be basekit because it is only meta for solo players. SWF doesn't need Kindred. Basekit Kindred would help bridge the gap between solo and SWF.

Not comparing at all. I just said: Kindred should be meta and used a lot like old dead hard was, is it that hard to understand?
No, it should not. Every multiplayer game has to have a meta, kindred fits perfectly to be a meta perk used a lot. If every perk suitable to be meta becomes basekit, then what is even the reason to have strong perks or create new strong survivor perks to begin with? However, no survivor wants to use kindred, just demand.

Killer already see every gen, every hook when they pick up.
Isnt that like that?
Games get base changes, also the perks are technically not basekit, the effect moved and the perk changed.

While I don’t know about Oni, I believe the Twins (and maybe Myers as well?) are on the roadmap for changes.

Auras are 100% more powerful than voice comms. They're faster (instant even), more accurate (you literally see them) and are not open to interpretation or subject to poor communication skills.
I still take Kindred even when I'm in a SWF, because of how much more reliable it is than relying on my team mates in every instance.
So I think Kindred base kit would be too strong, and it would benefit SWF. It would benefit Solo a tad more, but SWF would still be advantaged by it.
I'd be much more keen on something like a Killer Instinct effect for survivors instead. You see a 'heartbeat' graphic over the direction of other survivors, instead of a crisp, clean aura. You can move side to side to 'triangulate' their distance, and get a rough idea of where they are, similar to the level of information you'd get from someone saying "I'm near the killer shack" or "I'm going for the save" via voice comms.

Oh so I can JUST camp, tunnel, or slug from the get-go and get a 4k?
