I have a question about the dbd cheaters
I've heard that a lot of cheaters were banned and I'm happy about that even tho i've only encountered like 2 cheaters so far. I saw that most cheaters fly around and escape randomly, finish gens in 1 second, heal instantly and things like that which are obviously something people will get banned for but why aren't they banned instantly when they open the game? isn't that what an anti cheat system does?

Yeah, most of the hackers i see use that kind of soft hacks, and the game does nothing about it as far as I know

The most common cheats are things like 3-4 percent gen speeds, wall hacks, auto dead hard, and slight survivor speed increases. At least in my experience. The flying hatchet ghost faces are a thing of the past mostly.

I’m not an expert but I think a lot of it has to do with intercepting the data the game normally sends, modifying it, and then sending the modified data to the server. It’s probably something like the client is sending simple instructions like “move this character to location x,y,z” and the server does it. So one of the things they’re almost certainly working on is server side validation because they need the game to be able to better recognize bad instructions and reject them.

I’ve looked into this question myself through various research and what these so called hackers do, script purchasers really do, is have better gaming chairs.

If you didn't read the notes they clearly said they won't go into details about their security as anything detailed or mentioned the hackers will use that info to make better hacks.
You'll be getting nothing but theories from random people.
