Streamer Mode is making reporting hackers more difficult
I get the intention, really, I do but I just don't agree.
Had a few games, and ran into 2 different cheaters, both of which were using Streamer Mode, and since Streamer Mode protects the user even in end-game, making them harder to report than necessary. I know there is a way to go around and find the person, but considering how obnoxious reporting is already with the DBD system, this is just another hinderance.

Dodge any lobby with an anonymous mode person. That's what I do. It's helped lower the number of cheaters I've been facing. At least blatant ones

Unfortunately the two that I ran into were the killer. So i had no way of pre-emptively knowing that I was facing those individuals.

Fun fact! You don’t need the player’s SteamID/gamertag! It is optional when making reports.
Just last week I reported an anonymous Nea, and got them banned.

Unfortunate. I stopped playing solo queue cause of matchmaking, so this hasn't happened to me

This. You just need to make an in-game report and provide your own CloudID to support.

How would you know they were banned? I’ve never gotten a report back to me saying if they had been banned or not, and I’ve reported a handful of obvious cheaters with video evidence. No touch back or anything

I feel like my reports never do anything if I don't go the extra step, and even then I don't know if there was a follow-up..

I reported someone with a Steam profile and later saw they had a game ban on record about 30 days after I reported them. Only way that I know of. I reported some anonymous people but not sure if anything happened to them. Hopefully cause it was blatant

Sometimes they just can't help themselves but to stalk your socials and taunt you daily and then lose it when they actually get banned.
Massive minority, I know, but also very satisfying to watch lose

Probably looking up their profile? Though the devs have provided some new info about cheating and reports etc and I think they mentioned there that some kind of feedback for the reported will be added early 2023.
You need to do the extra step of a support ticket. That’s mandatory. But with addition of anonymous mode they changed the field of the Steam ID and it is optional now.

If you check back on the support page, specifically the "my activities" page, you can find a list of all the reports you've made. See mine, for example. Notice how it says "Solved" instead of something like "Open". The evidence I provided was pretty damning, so it'd be silly if they weren't banned.

You can't report them on platform, though, and reporting them on platform is way easier than navigating BHVR's rat race of a report system.

Not sure what you mean with "on platform". If you mean in-game, I haven't had any trouble with that.

Sometimes that is part of the hack. Depending on the level of the hacker they can make the entire end game screen different than what it is supposed to be

But.. that’s been a thing way before anonymous mode was added..

What I mean is that for non-anons, I can report them on Steam as well as in game (which is generally more effective.) Anons, I have no ability to report on Steam, and reporting on DBD is worthless because I don't run recording software.

Ah, I see. In that case, here's hoping the future support improvements will allow you to overcome that. You're probably in the majority with that as well, so... All I can say is...hope you don't encounter many cheaters.

In end game lobby you can find out who the 'anonymous' users are. Although if there's multiple it can be guess work to know which person was playing which survivor or who the killer is.
Anyway, when in end game lobby simply: Shift + tab > View Players > Recent Games. Note: You will have to close this recent games popup and reopen it for it to update new players again (if its already open).
"Solved" doesn't actually mean any action has been taken against the person you reported. Tickets are always marked as "Solved" eventually, I'm guessing just for the sake of the support team to know which tickets they've dealt with already. You can however look at the steam player's profile if you've still got it (or their steam64id) to check for a game ban once you see your ticket has been "Solved".

I mean, strictly speaking, it doesn’t mean that they have been banned. But they would’ve had to actively ignore the evidence I submitted for them to be let off.

You can report on steam, you just need to go into your 'last played with' section, it's very long and you generally need to remember what usernames of ur survivors were to pinpoint the killer.
