BHVR: "Guys, we heard you, we know you don't like exclusivity, for this reason we are giving everyone who was playing during this event these exclusive cosmetics, plus, we decided that Legacy will NEVER happen again, we don't want to exclude parts of our community!"
Also BHVR: "Lol look, it's Mummy Dwight! BTW you can buy this skin only during this very short timeframe and never again, feeling FOMO yet?"

I had a feeling they were walking back exclusivity ever since last Christmas. Ever since, they've been doing runs of event-exclusive cosmetics...
Real nice of them to give us the illusion of choice, though. Really appreciated the part where everyone on every social media I follow went "oh god no" and then they did it anyway.

I know I asked for a Halloween event but glad to know I can't really play it due to my recently increased work hours. I'll be missing out anyway. 🙃

I am genuinely afraid that this is a test for whole chapters being released as such. A time-limited survivor/killer would just be incredibly greedy and disastrous.

I doubt they would do that, that would be so damaging for the health of the game. I hope they have not become so greedy as to do that though.

Even if it was clearly not their intention, the Stranger Things chapter is already doing that.

While I doubt they'd add entire FOMO chapters (that's too much future revenue lost, chapters have a wider and more sustained market than cosmetics), my worry-slash-theory is that they got their taste for FOMO from the Stranger Things going-away sale. People panicked and went nuts over it, and I'm sure some lightbulbs went off on the marketing front, because surveys started talking about it less than half a year later.

Basically people going, "Oh #########, if I don't buy this right now I'll never be able to have this certain thing in the future, and what if I realize later that I needed it or that it was the best thing ever?"
BHVR said multiple times they wouldn't do exclusive, that every rift outfits would come to the store eventually to reduce FOMO, and then they do this #########
