Cant believe people are really trying to argue against the flashlight changes

Okay, here's the thing. As anyone who's seen one of my rants will attest, I tend to be on the other side here.
However, this is something I can speak to personally as someone who struggles with photosensitivity.
Aside from old games with full screen 'flashes', DbD is one of the few games that can give me legitimate problems, especially with strobe macros.
This was a good change - but yes, flashlights need a buff overall (honestly, survivor items and addons need a complete overhaul).

I'm all for the flashlight change but i think the battery drain needs to be addressed asap.

Do you think questioning the disability of anyone over the internet, something you're not even allowed to do in person to customers as a business employee, even as an employer to an employee, which they also have zero requirement to provide AND you have zero right to even ask, is morally ok? Hell you shouldn't even ask things like that as a simple courtesy unless they are both willing to share and willing to discuss it at all. You're making really bad attempts at trying to bring morality into the conversation about both morality and ethics, so I'd recommend you not go down that avenue again, preferably sticking to the topic instead.

Clearly the well-being of others is secondary to his need to clickclickclickclickclick. 🔦🔦🔦🔦🔦

Sometimes people just don't have the perspective. I've known someone (and verified) who got in trouble at their job for asking someone why they had a trained service animal, which is something you are not legally allowed to ask. You can ask what they are trained to do, but even just asking them a question that requires them to answer with undisclosed medical information is kinda legally protected for a reason. I'll leave it there because I don't want it to go further off topic, but the point is that I would rather help someone understand than begrudge ignorance.

Maybe I am exaggerating a bit, not intentionally of course. And I didn't mean send multiple, seperately made tickets with no evidence, on the same issue. I guess I'm not conveying my message clearly. Like you said, we agree on a lot, so I'll leave it at that.

For what it's worth, I definitely understand your frustration. It's not just this game, and not just this specific mechanic. It certainly seems like there is a new industry-wide standard in the era of live-service gaming: ship them out broken, patch them up later. A number of high-profile flops have made some developers a little reluctant to release projects too early, but it hasn't stopped other companies from pushing other titles out the door when they probably needed another month or two of attention in order to be street date ready. And you're right - people are becoming complacent and accepting of this kind of attitude from big game labels. It's absolutely a concerning trend.

the problem is flashlight are unfun to use now. they're clunky and might as well be worst item in the game with current changes. the survivor are complaining about flashlight changes because they're genuinely bad changes.

Basically?

We can definitely see eye-to-eye on this. Spot on! 👍

You keep saying this and yet I haven't seen any evidence that people were doing that. Stop trying to downplay people's issues.

They could've done it in a way that doesn't screw over people who like to click their flashlight for 360s/moonwalking. They could've just added an option in settings that hides flashlight beams and mutes the clicking sound for people who are epileptic/find it annoying.

I mean to be fair those never should have been a thing in the first place, and completely exploit the difference between running animations and the alignment of the collision box. They also have a disproportionate affect on killers who use a controller as opposed to M&K, so they don't even do anything half the time and further exploit a mechanical restriction the rest of the time. I know they're sikk skillz and whatnot, but they were never exactly worth preserving. For a lot of people thats simply another win.

It's not as big a change as when they ravaged Deathslinger's ADS - you'll get used to the new version like we did.
