Are bots programmed to give up?

So with the penalties currently off and enduring match after match of watching team mates DC, I just wanted to mess around and played the lil bot tutorial because I knew the match could at least play out. I played survivor then decided to do the Kill the Bots mode with Trapper, and I noticed that if the bots had a habit of trying to 4%, but then if the game was going south they would actually let go and die on hook. I've only done 3 rounds rn, but is this a thing that they're programmed to do? I really would hate to see bots mimic player behavior in that regard where they legit just give up

They are preparing you for real matches!

Honestly a little too well 😭

Hm, those bots are more realistic than I thought they would be.

They come up to you and tbag you if they want heals. They're adorable.
They do seem to get caught in infinite window vaulting loops, though, so they're not quite past the Turing Test yet. And yeah, if they were ever to be implemented as real teammate replacements, I would definitely want to see them fight to the bitter end instead of mimicking the human propensity to go "######### it, next game."

Legit I thought they already did, and I hope they're recoded to not do that. I honestly can't wait for them to be implemented

They're probably just broken. I had a Claudette go back and forth through the window as I was hooked 5 feet away from her. Simply put - ai are just terrible in this game. You can break trapper by just spinning him.

I've seen the killer bot warping around the map, it's hilarious to watch.
