Things i noticed during the event so far

So far, i like the event very much.

First, as a survivor, i escape way more often. The main reason is of course the design of the even, which leads to people actually doing gens for a change, leading to way better escape rates.

Also, it shows you a little about the toxicity-level of killers vs strategy. Because while i still get killers that camp, tunnel, or whatever, most of them, if they find you on a rift, let you finish transfering before they down you, even if they have to wait. That by itself tells you a lot.

Even as a killer the matches are more chilled. While a lot of them do gens, also a lot of them running around to rifts and spend their time kicking pumpkins. No matter the outcome, the matches are less frustrating, because they are much closer usually.

What are your experiences?

I have noticed indeed that I escape more often right now, which is nice. I've been lagging a bit when playing killer though, so I can't really speak from experience on that side unfortunately !

I don't think my escape rate has changed by much overall. I'd say most matches are still a 3-4K overall with probably more 0Ks than I'm used to seeing and rare 2Ks. But the side objectives are nice. The speed bonus from the voids have come in clutch in a couple of games both for survs and Killers. So far it feels like this event has 'shaken up' game play more than any patch. lol

Bloodpoints seem to be plentiful in most games and I appreciate the prevalence of the event BP item.

People do seem to be interacting a lot with the event and as the event has progressed, I've noticed less survivors simply quitting because they had all their void juice and less killers actively trying to camp or tunnel the first hook. Maybe the first wave of people trying to the match cosmetics is over? IDK.

But I did notice a weird trend last night. Saw it mostly with Killers, not sure if survs can do it to, where they were hitting the void rifts to make them disappear. It wasn't just them depositing rift energy because the ones I saw deposited rift energy then immediately went to hit the other rifts in the area.

Last night was the 'worst' for me in terms of playing. The Killers who did camp and tunnel on the first hook were really dedicated to it and I had more matches with possible 2 man SWFs who - I think - were trying to help each other complete challenges for things like blinding and stunning the Killer which inevitably resulted in catastrophic losses because they got downed so fast and often 2 at a time. I don't think they completed those challenges.....

Huh. that's what I thought. Maybe they had some impeccable timing? Or maybe they started to transfer, but didn't complete it? IDK, it was strange. I saw maybe 5-ish Killers do it. 2 were Trickster.

People have been on gens more, but I've been left to second stage or to die a lot more often than usual because people want their event points.

There's been a lot of polite killers that let you finish depositing energy before they whack you, though. I really appreciate that.
