Why is killer wait time so long
Title says it all I usually wait about five sometimes ten minutes for one match and during the afternoon when most people would be playing but playing survivor I can wait maybe a minute or two and quickly get a match going is there something going on with killer matchmaking because I just want to play killer and more then likely not have fun because of matchmaking but I still just want to do some challenges.

Too many Killers and/or too little Survivors, simple as.

Survivor got a bit less rewarding to play since 6.1., whereas Killer as a role got more attractive.
The ratio of 4:1 players is a bit finnicky and right now is rarely, if ever, found in daytime.

I guess it depends on your area. I’m doing my killer challenges today and all the lobbies I got were under 60 seconds.

I haven't sat in queue for longer than 60-90 seconds on either side in a good while.
Killer is definitely quicker late at night, though.

SoloQ survivor is in the worst spot is has ever been in, in the history of DBD. SoloQ is also the largest population of players. Wesker is also one of the most well designed killers they have ever made, and he is very strong. Pair that together and you get what we have now.
