The PUBG event is so hilariously janky
-Matches can start without a full lobby. Welcome back 3v1s.
-Gens can spawn 5 feet from each other.
-Pallets spawning in weird places. Multiple pallets next to each other. (Also the Killer has a gun, so pallets don't really matter).
-Big dead zones.
-Awkward animations. My character repaired a gen from 2 feet away. Looks like I'm fixing air.
-Trolls galore. Ran into some high level players who clearly play PUBG and not DBD. They avoided gens and just hid. If you thought Solo queue was bad in DBD, this is even worse.
-Camping/tunneling is OP because Survivors have no perks to counter it.
Oh well. Free Dwight skin at least.

It's pretty fun in a goofy way, but man, after the precedent set by For Honor's super cool zone defence Trapper mode, I was a little disappointed lol.
Ah well. Got the Dwight skin, I'm good.

Yeah it is janky to say the least, I feel they should have at least had things like gens and skill checks be the same as DBD. I only played one survivor match as I just wanted the cosmetic but it was confusing how to even redeem that and I couldn't be bothered. I will fire up PUBG again and try to figure out how to actually get the cosmetic though... (cant say no to free stuff)

Short version: Open the browser tab for the event from PUBG's main menu and play a match, you'll then have the option to redeem the code for the Dwight skin.
It's kinda weird.

I can't even play it. The website is bugged. There's no start mission button when ever I click on it.
It's very disappointing as I just wanted to get the Dweet skin.

is there a chance to get it as a console player?

Yes other console players have gotten it.

can you please tell me what i have to do?

You have to download the PubG game. It's free. Then you need to play the tutorial missions first to access the event. Then you just need to play the event to unlock the items like Dwight's cosmetic. It will give you a code to redeem.
Assuming it works for you. I couldn't even get to play the event as the website was bugged. Apparently happening to a few people from what I have seen on Twitter.

I couldn’t get past the training. The game feels bad to me. I mainly use a controller on pc and this game doesn’t do well with them. Forget the Dwight skin I couldn’t stand another second of pubg

Okay thank you both, that makes sense now.

The biggest challenge for me was attempting to navigate the menus and locate the Start Mission button, which took way longer than it should have. The controls for the game also felt incredibly clunky combined with the event mechanics. Got the skin first game because thankfully you just have to have been in a match (or observe one after death) for at least five minutes. Immediately deleted PUBG afterwards

Before you can play the DBD game mode, you have to play the tutorial missions, then either play 10 bot games, or do a few challenges. If you've played any other PvP shooter games, then you can easily do the challenges in one game. Some other people have been quickly losing 10 bot games instead.
Mooks said you can play a game with other people to bypass the requirements.

I play on Console and I did the missions but never gave me a redeem code nor did the website bring up any claim rewards either.

I did mine on PS4. I found you need to use the in game banner when it cycles up on the main menu in order to accept the mission, then do the mission. It didn't give it to me after doing it twice, but restarting it corrected it.
