Should Content Creators be Held Responsible for Abusing Glitches

Usually when i go on yt for dbd ill see many videos from big channels and small channels saying "OP FLASHLIGHT GLITCH TECH" and they will soy their face up for the thumbnail however this is still exploiting and honestly for the killer its not ever fun but i dont really see anyone talking about it

Now personally I dont think its "exposing" the glitch because usually bhvr wont do anything about it till like next big patch but what do yall think?

abusing bugs should be bannable, no matter who does it

No this is an absurd idea

BHVR does not recognize them as game-breaking bugs and therefore does not kill-switch them.

    LOL.

Yes. They are not special. And all that stuff like "I'm just trying to shed some light on the issue, in order for the devs to see it" is nonsense. If they really wanted to do that, they would make the video unlisted and submit it to them

Although it's speculation, I'd assume someone who wishes to "expose" the bug will also use the bug whilst it exists. I believe there is also a report button which explicitly highlights bug exploits as a reportable offence.

Also, if the bug was discovered and reported without fanfare, then it's safe to assume less would know, and therefore it would be less abused. In that respect, content creators bringing light to it - even if done with the best intentions - worsens the problem considerably.

I would support that, but they aren't going to. Especially bugs and glitches that survivors abuse. The Legion mending glitch is the only one they've ever banned for because it made the game no fun for survivors :(

It's the only one that was bannable because it made the game unplayable & unwinnable.

Spend LITERALLY 20 minutes mending against a killer that can easily track you by hitting another with their power, or go down and die. They've also come out and said they won't be banning for things like this anymore and will instead opt for kill switching stuff that makes the game totally unplayable.

Just like they didn't start banning the incredibly unfun Devour Hope bug from a month or two ago that meant even if it was cleansed you could still get moried, while unfun for survivors nobody was banned, nothing was kill switched, and survivors just had to deal with it and hope it was fixed soon.
