Server Disconnects
I've gotten several server dcs today, and it's boosted me up to a 15 minute timer. I've been playing the tutorial matches to pass the time, but I'm hesitant to continue playing tonight because I don't want to chance it further. Is there any word on when a fix will be implemented? I've checked my internet and done what I can on my end to keep it as stable as possible, but it's not enough.

I just tried to play a bit as killer, I DCd at the end of the countdown timer 4x in a row to start the match. Not sure what's going on.

Well, they turned off the DC penalties for awhile, but as players will do, they started abusing that, so it had to be turned back on. Now, it's possible of course to tell the difference between me doing "Leave Match" and your internet from going out. So one could say that they just need to only have a penalty when you "leave match" and that sounds great on paper. However, what's to stop me then from unplugging the cord from the back of the computer? Just a few seconds, I get a disconnection that's exactly the same as if the server booted me, then I am back for another round. So people would just start doing that. So as much as the DC penalty needs to be turned off, it can't because it gets abused when it is.
You can even tell in game which one a person did. The top DC icon is someone who used "Leave Match" and the bottom is someone whose connection was severed (however it happened.)

It's def been a forced DC, as the killer, myself, and usually one or two others will be disconnected all at once, although that last tid bit is really nifty to know, thank you! And I've seen the abuse in action, made the game legit unplayable for both sides. I may just take a break for a few days to let it reset. Do you happen to know how long exactly that is?
