Was Garden of Joy's House Gen Room Lit Up ?

I've been playing a bit of killer yesterday and I noticed something odd. As I played a killer game on Garden of Joy, when going to check on the house gen, I found the room to be more easy to see in than I remembered as killer. The corridor is still awfully dark, but in the room itself the red light is enough to clearly see anyone trying to hide in there.
This brought me back to a survivor game I had a few weeks ago, during which, fully confident that the room was extremely dark for killer, I hid crouched next to the locker any time the killer came to check on the gen. Three times it worked, and the killer just vaulted the window without seeing me. I completed the gen unseen.
Was the room light changed a bit ? Or is it a difference from PC to Console ? (I play on PC)

On PC (for some reason) that top floor is extremely dark. On console you can clearly see perfectly fine. I still would love to see what's on the top floor 😐

Apparently it’s much easier to see in there on any other platform than PC.

Totally agree on it being way too dark on PC, I play the game with my brightness up a notch since some maps are too dark to see and even with that the upper floor of that Garden house is so dark I literally can’t see the walls. I only know for instance there’s a breakable wall up there somewhere because someone mentioned it in a post, I’ve never actually seen it.

Total tangent but I like the perk loadout. 🙂 Not a lot of other people use Shattered Hope by itself.

I play on Xbox Series X and that room is never that bright for me. It's always so dark I can barley even see where I'm walking.

Must only be a last gen "issue" then, and current Gen and PCs get the dark version, which I'm assuming is supposed to be the intended version?

I don't know if it's really intended since you can't see anything at all 😅

I guess it's not a priority for the Devs since everyone noticed how dark this was on PTB.
